Greta turned to Riley as they walked towards the counter. "So, do you have enough money to get us to Washington? I have twenty bucks, but other than that I'm pretty broke."
Gin reached the station after a while. "I'm never accepting a foreign job again. All these Americans with their SWAG and YOLO." It's pissing me off. What did they think, we could be brought back to life? This is DBZ, there aren't any Dragon Balls or anything in New York or anywhere." He grumbled.
Riley ignored her. She headed to the counter, miffed that the angel had disappeared again. She ordered two tickets for Washington, for the next bus, she payed and got the tickets. She turned to the girl. "You want snack's, the bus leaves in 30 minutes."
"Yeah, but I've got money to cover that," Greta said, heading over to a vending machine and buying a bag of chips.
Riley stayed where she was, eyeing the people around her, trying to keep her mouth from watering.
"Now, now, don't underestimate strawberry milk. It's the best drink there is." He said, opening the carton and taking a sip.
"Okay," Greta said, a smile flitting across her face, "but I still reserve my preference for Pepsi."
Riley saw the girl talking with a man. She went over and said "This looks cosy, and you are?".
((Sorry, just taking care of a few things, still on))
((Sorry, just taking care of a few things, still on))
Riley could tell he was lying. She saw it in his eyes. She sensed that his blood wasn't completely human either. She turned to the girl "We should go wait outside, we don't want to miss our bus."
"I'd check the departure listings board," Greta said to the girl who had just arrived. Turning back to Gin-San, she asked "Where are you headed?"
"The airport. I need to get back to Japan." He said, scratching his head.((What if Riley finds out and confronts him? She had lived for a while, right?))
"Wow, that's quite the ways away," Greta replied, "what are you doing here in New York?"((Yeah that would be good, my character still needs to figure out this other world......))
"Had a job. I'm a freelancer. This American offered a lot of money, but I'm never accepting a foreign job again. Are all the people here idiots?" He huffed.
"All the people?" Greta asked. "That's a pretty strong statement, you know," the joking tone back in her voice.
"Fine, most. Did they think they're cats or something, with nine lives? What's with this YOLO crap?!" He grumbled.
Suddenly, Riley looked at this guy with more interest, he looked familiar, and the way he talked, and that sword it reminded her of something, something long ago. Riley realized what it was. She grabbed the man by the arm and hauled him of to a secluded corner. As soon as they were alone all she said was, " Gin Sakato."
Greta stood, dumbfounded. Riley really didn't have much in the way of social graces, from what she'd seen of her. Oh well. To each their own. She found a bench near enough to eavesdrop and ate her chips.
Riley narrowed her eyes, then she slapped the side of his head. "White Yaksha, Sakata Gintoki, don't you regocnize me?" "Or have you drank to much sake?".
Gin rubbed his cheek as he looked at her. "Don't go saying that so loudly. I'll be arrested and executed before I can see the ending of Naruto and Bleach, even though it's so close!" He complained.
Riley shook her head. "You don't know me, maybe this will jog your memory." With that Riley kissed Gin right on the mouth. As she had done when he had saved her that day.
((I didn't mean for you to do that, but oh well, I guess.))Gin pushed her off. "Oi, what the hell are you doing? You can't kiss someone randomly!" He protested as he tried to remember. He hadn't gotten any action in the last ten years that knew his name, so must be a person from the war.
Riley couldn't believe it. Then to get through that sake addled brain, she smiled, showing her fangs, then she raised her white hand and placed two fingers on the spot where she had bitten him 10 years ago. When he had given her his blood to save her life.
Gin looked at the spot she placed her hand. "Wait, are you...Miley?" He asked, trying to remember. A vampire, a vampire... He had seen too many!
"Riley, you sake befoon." She stopped smiling and dropped her hand. "Well you've gotten slack since. Older too."
Riley snorted. "So, you survived." Riley looked him up and down. He really hadn't changed that much. "So what are you really doing out of Japan?".
Greta decided that they'd had enough of a personal moment, and walked closer to the pair of them, listening more intently.
"There are too many brats not hiding their powers. At this rate, no stores will sell me Jump." He answered, sitting down in a bench.
"Wait - you have powers too?" Greta asked, finally realizing where Riley and Gin knew each other from.
"Would you cut it out? I'm not a child," Greta said to Riley. "Besides, you know I'm at least kind of like you guys too." She reached through the bench she was sitting on to pick up a wrapper and threw it out.
Riley looked at the girl, "That is none of your concern." She said harshly.
