Mad About the Boy discussion

So in 2005 there was a series of columns in the Independent that revived Bridget.

I thought it was weird that "Mad About the Boy" didn't match the continuity of it at all.

I'm glad it didn't. I enjoyed the book so much more than these articles.

I imagine that in terms of the readership of the independent compared to the world wide readership of the books, sticking to the columns wasn't necessary.

Yeah, I'm kind of glad they were ignored. I quite liked MatB, but those columns were awful and depressing.
