James (jamesreich) The literary review Three Guys One Book recently covered my most recent novel 'Bombshell' (a nuclear thriller) in terms of its cinematic possibilities. Who would you pick to adapt your work for the screen?

"So many great “Avantpop” works—Steve Erickson’s Amnesiascope, Jonathan Lethem’s early genre novels, most everything by Kathy Acker—are hanging out, waiting for adventurous oddball filmmakers to adapt them, bringing delightful visions of an American wasteland to silver screens everywhere! Bombshell, a novel by James Reich, descends from this literary sensibility, and it forges the conventions of the thriller with the aesthetics of punk rock; in other words, it’s art film gold." I can't name anyone in Hollywood today (that is to say, anyone whom I once may have respected and who is somehow still working) that I respect or trust. Even Martin Scorcese --for a long time, the last holdout for integrity--has been thoroughly corrupted. Woody Allen? Does Woody Allen still make movies? That might be one other. But last time I looked, he too had started casting his flicks with trendy starlets instead of genuine actresses. Eastwood? Alright, Eastwood. I can't think of anyone else, though.
