Movie-Talk - DIVERGENT
You really are?I don't really have the "Divergent feeling" when I watch the new trailer. Not only that in some shots Theo looks like 30 and Shaileen like 14, but also that I feel like the producers want to concentrate on the love story and that's not what Divergent is about.
E.g The scene in which Four kisses Tris in front of a sunset, I was like "what the f*#k. What's that"
Don't get me wrong, I look forward to the movie, but as more I see from it I don't really feel that this is Divergent.
I get what you are saying. The overall trailer was not cut very well, or at least not cut normally. But I thought all the scenes we saw were very true to the book, and we can never judge a movie just by the trailer! I think Theo really doesn't look that old. Oh and the scene when they are kissing in the sunset is after the final test Tris has to take, to become dauntless. I remember they were kissing, not on a balcony but they were kissing. And Tobias was supposed to be shirtless. My favorite scene was probably the glass tank or the Zip lining scene!
Oh, yeah :). I love Christine and I share a lot of opinions with her, especially regarding the Divergent movie.I also loved the zip lining scene. I feared that they would change it a lot, but fortunately it doesn't look like that. I'm glad. On the other hand I'm really desperate about Uriah not being in the movie. I love him so much.
Have you seen the hand-on-Tris'-stomach-scene? I have imagined this scene being a little bit more gentle and not like rape. xD
I didn't think it was like rape XD. *cracks up laughing* we also have to remember in the book that Tobias was really tough on her because she was from abnegation. I do remember that he told her to use her stomach muscles to fight, and he did put his hand on her stomach.
Yeah, you're right, but I've just imagined it not like... that. I can't explain it. It just looked so awkward to me.
You remember it perfectly, Zoe. I guess it's because of Allegiant, because he tells Tris how he experienced that scene. It's just so strange..
I was nervous about the age thing as well but I did watch a few interviews they did and it actually helped. Theo is a goofball and Shailene is more mature for her age it seemed so it seemed they were on the same level. It doesn't look so strange to me anymore. Plus, Theo is hot and Shailene reminds me of me. It's gonna be great. Lol. ; P
@Savannah Totally! I freaking love Theo James. To me he is just perfection *sighs* we have to wait until march!!
Ugh he totally is! My boyfriend caught me basically drooling over him watching the trailer for the millionth the other day. AWKWARD!! hehe. ; P
Whatttt?!?! To each their own I guess. Me and Zoe can keep him then. XD lol
I mean deep down I do wish it was Alex Pettyfer.. but.. I feel like Theo will be great for this role.
XD I don't think Alex would work...and Theo's just too old!
I know he wouldn't. He's just pretty. lol. And Theo's a little older than he is in the book but they might pull it off somehow. I hope so at least cause I'm in love. I want to see this work. :)
XD A little? He's like.......58! He's so old that they're making his age 25/26 in the movie :P
He is only a Little old! lol. He's like 28! My boyfriend is older! No, really, he's almost 32 & I'm 24. Older guys are awesome. :)
XD I tend to be a bit dramatic :P
Hahaha. It's ok. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Thats what makes this entertaining!!
XD Yes its very entertaining alright ;)
Oh hush Cat XD
Oh hush Cat XD
You need to. And you need to change your name back too XD
But yes, every book turned to movie misses something. Especially thtlat feeling you get when you read the words, making your own assumptions and developing that relationship. The movies form an opinion For you. It's different.
And you guys are too funny. :)
Everyone agrees my name should be Miss Amazingness. Don't start with the blasphemy.
One person XD I don't know where you get such ideas. U see my title? Its the truth.

So, the Divergent movie is slowly coming (still far away, but it's coming) and as the first real trailer has been released a few days ago, I thought of making a specific thread to it, so that we don't have to spam the general movie-talk-topic with extensive fangirling-material.
What're your feelings on the teasers, trailers, actors & co?
