I'm in the middle of chapter 15 now and yes, I've met Cricket. I have the same thought with Spencer. I thought (view spoiler)[ she is a dude :) (hide spoiler)]. I guess it's a good move the author didn't mention who Spencer love interest is in the blurb.

I also wondering (view spoiler)[ what Ethan and Cricket relationship is. I think it isn't a lover relationship since Cricket is Spencer's love interest and Ethan will be the one on book 3. If Ethan and Cricket relationship is lover kind of relationship or Ethan loves Cricket but she doesn't love him it will be like Spencer and Sophie in Vain. I don't like it, so I kind of wish there is more to the story than they being a lover (hide spoiler)].

End of chapter 17: apparenly (view spoiler)[ Cricket and Ethan are an item since childhood. I don't think I like this, it's just the same old story as Spencer and Sophie (hide spoiler)]

End of chapter 19:(view spoiler)[ Spencer uses "anything sexier" too much for my taste. It seems everything Cricket does are sexier than anything in Spencer's eyes :) (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 21: (view spoiler)[ I'm wondering whether Spencer's father has anything to do with many calves dead (hide spoiler)]

I am just to the start of Chapter 21 now.
And I actually like Ethan. (view spoiler)[ I keep waiting for him to lose his temper, but nothing happens. Like I thought it'd be Ethan that loses it on the driver that almost hit them. And I didn't realize that Ethan was the MC of the next book. Makes me excited.

Also, I really like August.

And, I don't mind that Ethan and Cricket are childhood sweethearts. I am just ready for them to dive into & explain that relationship. Cause she kisses him, but doesn't appear that she's in love with him

Also. something is up with Cricket. Like she may be ill? Not sure yet, but that's my first guess.

And I like Bridge and the fury that's treating her so well. Even though, I guess that's not very realistic...i don't seem to mind at all.

And finally, I do like Cricket and Spence's relationship. It's cute. Haha, and yeah, he does keep think she is sexy! And perfect. That could get old. But at least it's not all on the same page. (hide spoiler)]

I like August too and kinda wish he has his own book :)

But for this story, I don't know I can say I like it because I don't quite like it, though it isn't bad either. (view spoiler)[ Actually, I don't mind of Cricket and Ethan being a childhood sweethearts either, it's just when they have a relationship like that, it's like similar to Sophie and Spencer in Vain but in this book tells from the hero, instead of heroine while I wish I will get different story. And it will be a repetitive in next book, about Ethan who left behind, wanting Cricket who doesn't want her but then will get his love interest. Makes me don't quite eager to read book 3. And yes, I also wonder what is actually happen with Cricket and Ethan that makes her feel has to be loyal to him (hide spoiler)].

Yeah...I guess I'm the only one who didn't like it :( My other friend who just finished it love it and gave it 4 stars. I still want to read Ethan story, though. Hope I will like it.

When do you want to read Sexy, Smart, Secritive? I'm fully booked next week so I can do it on December.

Ah.....I can't wait for Ethan story either. Did you see the cover (I think it hasn't the final cover) of Fury at the end of the book? I like the model on the cover, I think he suits for Ethan :)

I did see it! And I agree :) It looks like a great fit :D. The author released a teaser for Fury. but I've not read it yet.

I even didn't know there is a teaser for Fury :) But I try to avoid teaser or ARC review or anything else before I read the book. It often makes me wanting more or spoil my reading.
