Me either - I do not know how I can wait til November for this movie. I will be there the first night it opens...and even though I have read all the books I know I will cry. I wish so much it wasnt over - I wish I wasnt done reading...I fell in love with the entire saga - its awesome and now I cant find anything worthy of replacing it. I watched twilight last night just to get my fix !!

It just seems like a different time...Twilight series just had a great way of combining the new and the old...always kept me interested.

So you really like the True Blood series? I bought the first book, but hadnt started it...the series on HBO looks so so corney !!! I LOVE EDWARD...If I could make a wish it would be he would be real...heck with it being fiction.
I have never read the Suki Stackhouse series although I hear from friends that they are pretty good. I love the TB series because it's edgy and has a great cast of actors. Also the plot lines and character's are a little more on the adult / grown up side. Don't get me wrong I love Twilight. My husband and some friends think I am a total dork because I have a Edward pillow case and went straight to WalMart at midnight to pick up the DVD. I finished BD in two days which is a first for me considering it was nearly 800 pages long and i have two little ones at home. BUT I try to separate the True Blood and Twilight. True Blood explores vampirism and compares it in a nonchalant way to homosexuals and their challenges with coming out. Hence coming out of the coffin. I admire that. The two are just not comparable with the small exception of vampires and mythical creatures the stories are very different. Your belief that TB is cheesy, well to each their own. I believe it is no cheesier than Twilight and just as enjoyable. As for the Edward comment I was referring to a interview given by one of the cast members of TB. Basically I was just being silly. I think everyone wishes Edward were real. That we can agree on. I also wish Lafayette from TB were real and my BFF. lol!
Peace fellow Twilight lover.

I did not think Twilight series was cheesey at all..I just enjoyed the compasion and devotion...the way Edward and Bella were so devoted and expressed themselves...It was overwhelming...Fairytale yes....and dont we all want the fairytale? How nice that would be. I will try True Blood...I might even try to watch it on TV a little. First I am going to read The Host and see if I can get into it.
The Host was great book. Unlike Twilight (which hooks you after chapter 1) it takes about 3 chapters before it starts to get good. Once Wanderer meets the humans in the desert the book becomes addictive. I hope SM continues with The Host series I am curious to see where the story goes. Have you read The Hunger Games? Great book! You should check it out.

Below is the description Goodreads gives it. The first time I actually heard of this book was on Stephanie Meyers website. I didn't think much of it then a few weeks later a close friend of mine insisted I read it. It was one of my favorites of 2008. A close second to the Twilight series.GOOD READS DESCRIPTION:
Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games." The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When Kat's sister is chosen by lottery, Kat steps up to go in her place.

I think those have been my most recommended so far. still not the same as my Edward
I loved New Moon too.Back to Mortal Instruments:
