Hi, all 80+ of you! My name is Mary, and it looks like I just joined the quietest group in the world. No discussions? Surely that can't be right??

I love fantasy, some sub-genres more than others. Have been reading it all my long life. Of course a lot of "children's" literature is fantasy, so maybe my first was ALICE IN WONDERLAND. But the first adult fantasy I remember reading was Peter S. Beagle's A FINE AND PRIVATE PLACE.

Right now I'm just starting on FLEDGLING by Octavia E. Butler. Intriguing....

Old school! I haven't read that one. I have limited myself to listening to audiobooks while driving until I finish the next book in my series. I broke genre and listened to a couple Clive Cusslers and now am about to start a Dune novel.
