At age 14, I had the phenomenal good fortune to discover (literally; the books had been hidden from me)the works of HPL in nearly sequential order. I fell in love with Dreamlands before I ever heard or dreamed of Cthulhu (though he might have been dreaming of me.) My topic is this: was there a "road to madness", having something to do with his marriage/divorce? Or was the transition from Dreamland to Mythos abrupt? And unexplainable?
