I'm hoping this works for my next Monopoly spot. I really want to get back to it. I'd like to actually finish this series in January. Think we can do it?

Well we have the whole month so it could be done. I want to get as many as series as possible caught up or completed this year so this works.

None of my books that I need to read fit in with monopoly but think i'm going to read it anyway otherwise i'll be waiting ages to roll☺

That's what happened to me all last month. Nothing fit for 2010, but now I have a bunch that work. I should be able to roll again soon. Finally!

I'm starting this one now. Will you be able to soon? I'll post with spoilers either way. I'm so excited for this one!

Ill quickly read a music book because knowing my luck this one will fit in to my next spot if I read it first.

What are you going to read for that? I heard these are all really good.

I'm reading Champion by jet mykles, its part of a series I started about 2 years ago so I'll be caught up once I've finished this. I've not heard of those books before so thanks.

I've finished so i'll be staring this one next, probably won't get much read tonight.

I haven't read very much. I haven't had time. I just finished Chapter 3.

(view spoiler)[Holy crap! Patch gave up his wings for her??? What does that even mean for him? Where is he now? I can't believe that she can't remember Patch or Rixon or anything, but I guess I'm more shocked that Vee can't. I mean at least Nora was abducted and they could have done anything to her to make her forget, but how did they make Vee forget? And who in the hell left that note on her pillow? I would never sleep again. But I have a feeling she will. Hopefully Patch will come to her in her dream. (hide spoiler)]

I do want to read all three of those, so if any sound good to you let me know and we can set up a buddy read. Not this month though.

I've just started and I'm confused already about why she doesn't remember the last 5 months.

Hank definitely did something to her. In the prologue Hank said "By the time I'm through with her, she won't remember your name."

Do you watch Scandal? Hopefully you do. It's an amazing show. Anyway... all I could think of was Huck in the hole and the kept opening it and asking him who he was. If you don't watch, forget that last part. It won't make any sense to you.

lol nope I don't watch but I know what it is.

Oh, it's sooo good. Huck is my favorite character on that show. He's this military guy turned spy and when the agency that used him as a spy is done with him they threw him in a pit (picture a jail cell, but in the ground with no windows and when the top is closed there is complete darkness) and covered it because he had a wife and a child and that is not acceptable. His job was to torture people for information and he couldn't have something like a family that would make him vulnerable in any way. So every day they would open the pit and ask him "Do you have a family" and he would scream "YES" until they completely broke him and he didn't even remember that he had a family anymore. It was horrible.

This is what I picture them doing to Nora and asking her "Who is Patch" until she just doesn't even know. But I actually think they did some Nephilim/Angel thing that made her forget, because (view spoiler)[after she has the dream and starts to remember Patch again, he does something to make her forget again. And there's also the fact that they have somehow done the same thing to Vee. I'm really starting to wonder if Nora's mother even remembers who Patch is. (hide spoiler)]

I'm on my phone do can't read spoilers at the minute so you've probably commented on this, but I need to say random things as they happen :-) .They've obviously done something to Vee as well or once an angel dies nobody remembers them, because she can't remember Rixon.

Yeah, I'm not sure exactly how they do it but they seem to be able to erase memories very easily. Did you get to the bear part yet?

No. I've just gone past the part when she met Patch in a dream then seemed to blame him for everything.

Wow you're good because I didn't even remember the dream thing till it happened.
IKR about that note, i don't think she imagined it either, but is it Hank and if so why did he let her go?

I wondered if her mum remembered him as well because I thought he'd be top of her list for suspects. I don't get why they didn't look for Scott either.

I think you're past me since you mentioned a bear and that hasn't happened yet so hopefully this isn't a spoiler.
Do you think Hank has done something to Marcie? because its strange she's asking about the necklace after that weird dream thing.
I want to know whose in the cage, I thought it was patch when they mentioned the wings but then they said it was a girl (I have no Idea who they is i've noticed I say it a lot when i'm talking about books).

Nora gave the necklace back right? I actually forgot about the necklace till Marcie mentioned it. There was something else I wanted to ask but its gone :-(

I'm towards the end of Ch7 thing its pg 100 so i'm guessing i'll be back soon with more comments because i'm a bit engrossed in it at the moment.

It was definitely Hank that had her. He let her go because he made the deal with Patch that he would let her go at the end of summer if Patch gave him his wings and then they ripped them out. :( Poor Patch.

Ok the bear thing just happened, I think they're going to make us think Noras imagining stuff all the way through, I dont have a clue what's real

Nora definitely gave the necklace back to Patch. He tried to get her to keep it because it would protect her. There was a real quick mention of Hank talking to Marcie about the necklace, but not a whole lot about it yet. Hank is trying to get one. I guess all Nephilim have them.

It's a great show. I just got into the Walking Dead over Christmas break since there wasn't really anything new on TV. I always hear everyone rave about it and I never started it because I just thought I wouldn't be interested in zombies. Let me just say it is SO good. It's more about the people trying to survive than it is about zombies. Needless to say, I plowed through THREE seasons and completely caught up and now I can't wait for it to come back on in February. I watch WAY too much TV.

LOL I totally forgot. No rush. I have a ton of books keeping me busy. I'm trying to decide what new series I should start next. I'll be finishing 5 or 6 this month and I feel like I can start a new one, but there are so many good choices that I can't even narrow it down. Have you read any of these?

I'm just starting Chapter 13, but here are some spoilers from last night's reading...

Chapter 8

(view spoiler)[Did we ever know that Patch's name is also Jev? Did I just block that out? Because I hate that name. And he doesn't wear all black anymore? He was wearing a white baseball jersey and jeans??? I almost thought it wasn't him for a minute, but I'm pretty sure it is. I'm still not positive. Why am I so confused??? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 12

(view spoiler)[The part where Nora tells her mom that she ran into a guy (Jev) who says that he used to know her is the reason that I'm assuming that Jev is Patch. But now her mom is acting like she really doesn't remember Patch and the things she remembers don't seem right. Like when did he work as a busboy??? Did someone erase my memory? What is happening??? LOL We just read the last book LAST MONTH. I'm not old enough for Alzheimer's. (hide spoiler)]

Haha I'm with you on the Walking Dead, I did EXACTLY the same thing and watched 3 seasons back to back. Actually I'm behind on this season I don't know the major thing that happened so please don't tell me.

LOVE Bdb it was one of the first series I started. A few of the rest I've thought of starting, think I even have a couple, but I know there's a triangle in Thoughtless so that put me off.

oh and I've read on Dublin Street but not read the rest yet.

I'm def aiming for completing 2 series this month. There's another one I want to finish because its now complete but I have about 6 books to read.

I'm going to bed so I'll read your spoilers tomorrow when I catch up coz I can't remember where I stopped.

I won't spoil anything for you. It's really good though. You have until February 6th to catch up. That's when it comes back on. I had to DVR season 4 because they had a marathon on on New Year's Day and season 4 ended up being overnight and I had to work the next day.

I have a friend who has a Kindle and we share books. She has a lot of entire series and I think Thoughless and BDB are both on there.

Don't worry. I think my memory is being erased. I can't seem to remember anything about this book. LOL

Well, I'm hoping we finish this series this month.

I'm reading Extras with Lauren and that finishes the Uglies series.

I have to read Gabriel's Redemption for the Dusty Bookshelf Challenge and that finishes the Gabriel's Inferno series.

I'm reading Finding Shelter as a buddy read with Melissa and Ezi and that finishes the Coming Home series.

I plan to read Night of Cake & Puppets this month. It's a short one, I think and it's the last published book for the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series. I love that series! I was just doing this one because I love it so much.

Then I have to read at least two in the Stephanie Plum series. I'll probably read more though. My next one up is Three to Get Deadly.

Melissa and Ezi did talk me into starting a new series , and we'll probably read one a month until it's done. It's called Consequences. I think it's pretty dark.

I think that's it, but that finishes 5 series for me! Yay! :)

I haven't started any of those yet but have nearly all of them. Lol I saw Ezi's comment on the buddy read thread but when I clicked the book the first genre I saw was dark so I didn't even read what it was about.

The whole conversation at the table with Owen and the other boy is really strange.

Yes. Really strange. I could understand Vee swearing off boys if she remembered dating Rixon, but she doesn't remember Rixon OR Patch. I hope things start to become clearer soon.

I do think Hank made her mom forget Patch. I thought maybe she just didn't want to talk about him because she never liked him, but then she couldn't remember his name. She thought it was Peter or something and that he moved away. I don't think she was hiding anything. I think she really didn't remember.

I wasn't sure if Vee remembered him but was pretending she didn't, but then I guess if Hanks made her mum forget he's not likely to leave Vee with the info.
I'm seriously confused.

This is why i'm so confused did he really change, did he just plant that image in her head or is he part of this evil thing that Hank is doing?

I don't remember this either unless it was in the first book. I thought it was him all along, I didn't notice his clothes were different I just thought Nora was lying to her mum when she described him.

Lol I don't remember the busboy bit either. I originally thought her mum just made up all the info about him because she didn't like him but i'm not sure if this is really the memories she's left with.

I'm so glad Scott is in this or I really would think i'd imagined half of the things or remembered them wrong. Can you imagine if you'd left a year between books 2 and 3 you wouldn't know what was going on. I don't even know what the overall story is meant to be now.

I know. I'm glad we're finishing this series this month. I feel like any time in between makes me forget everything. I have no idea why though. It's weird.
