In the twelve years of not seeing each other, had Vic tried to find out what was going on in Sean's life?
What is Vic going to do in the future now that he's retired?

These are two guys I would really love to revisit. At least in a short story. Something about them really stuck with me.

Is that a promise? Pleeease!
One thing I've had to do is reduce the number of new Christmas codas I had planned. I was originally going to try and add about 15 new codas in. But there just isn't time. So it'll be more like ten.

Wow. Ten sounds like A LOT. I thought it would be something like 3-4 maybe... You are really pampering us, aren't you... ;-)
(And don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not complaining.) :-)

Yes, it is. Thank you!
Well, they're not all terribly long either. Some are just a page, some are a few pages.
But it occurred to me that I didn't need to try and write a coda for every story -- I should leave some for future years! So that's the plan. Codas for years to come.

How wonderful! Thank you, Josh! This is turning out to be the best and longest Christmas/Holidays celebration ever! :-)

Yes, please, space them out a bit and cut yourself some slack! (not that I'm not grateful for every bit and scrap from your feather)

Absolutely. Leave us wanting more :-) Oh, wait...
And we'd love a coda collection ebook, maybe a series compiling future stories? If not soon, how about Christmas in July? : )
P.S. Johanna, thanks so much for adding the coda links to each story.

You are welcome! But you guys have to stop thanking me, because I didn't do anything, really. We have added some of these links on the Story Discussion threads before and the codas were on Josh's blog all this time. I'm sure I'm not the only one of us who has revisited them during this year. ;-)

I would definitely read a whole book about these two!

These two are typical of characters I used to find myself agreeing to write sequels for--because I loved them and because I could imagine interesting adventures for them.
I think I have now learned my lesson. No sequels or new series until I've caught up all these others. :-D

That sounds like a good plan! Or, agree to write sequels, but secretly, so only you know about it, until you know you have the time to write them. Then they can be nice reader surprises. :-D

I definitely know where you're coming from, but I do hope you do as Jordan suggests and put Vic and Sean on the secret sequel list. :)

The blurb:
Nothing cracks Army Ranger "Stone Man" Vic Black's granite front. A mission to retrieve an injured Navy SEAL from the treacherous mountains of Afghanistan is all in a day's work -- until he learns the missing SEAL is his former lover. This time it's personal.
Publisher's Note: This short story was previously published in the "Because of the Brave" anthology.
