I have dozens of all-time favorites, but Charlotte's Web by E.B. White takes the top spot. If a perfect book has ever been written, it is this one. :-)
I'm familiar with the author's work, but I've never read any of it. Would you say this is her best book among those you've read?
Well I've only read three of her books and not even her most famous ones like Island of the Aunts or The Secret of Platform 13. A Company of Swans was pretty good by her as well as Dial-a-Ghost which I read as a kid. I really want to read her last book One Dog and His Boy. But out of the three I've read Journey to the River Sea was the most enchanting one of them all.I'm surprised you haven't read her yet. I think you should try this one or Platform 13 (one of her most famous ones) by her if you ever want to get started on reading her works.
Oh I read The Journey to the River sea a few years ago in 5th class,it's actually really good :)!
The Hunger Games is a favorite book of mine, too. Have you seen Suzanne Collins's newest book, Year of the Jungle? I'm looking forward to reading it in 2014.
@Enchanting- Sweet (:@Josiah- Oh yeah! I forgot she was coming out with a picture book. What a great plotline a lot of children can relate.

I believe it's been out for a couple of months. I've picked it up and leafed through it in the bookstore, but I'm waiting until the 2014 Newberys are announced in January before reading it. It is a picture book, I should mention.Have you read Suzanne Collins's Gregor the Overlander and its sequels? I've only read the first one, and while it's not as unbearably intense as the Hunger Games trilogy, it is a fine novel I would readily recommend.

I found them interesting but nowhere near as grab-you-by-the-throat-and-force-you-to-read as The Hunger Games. I think I read the first three or four of them, but I don't remember why I stopped.
I also love Meg Cabot's Mediator series. I completely forgot about them until I happened to glance at my bookcase to figure out something to recommend on the other thread!
Gregor the Overlander is a more subtle brand of writing than The Hunger Games, but still significantly better than the average novel. I haven't had time to read more than the first entry in the series, but I have faith in Suzanne Collins, and will get back to reading the books when I have the chance. I've enjoyed her creativity since the days when she was still a television writer, coming up with scripts for such T.V. programs as Nick Jr.'s Little Bear. :-)
I still have the first two Overlander series on my bookshelf that I bought YEARS ago but I've never read them...
I have the next best thing: all the Gregor the Overlander books on the shelf of my local library, five minutes from home. When I get the urge to read the second book, I can go right down to the library and borrow it. :-)
Words cannot express how much I love the Harry Potter series. Those books showed me how fun reading can be and how it transports you to another world. I also love the Twilight series, the Gone series, the Maze Runner, The Book Thief, and the Lorien Legacies(just to name a few).

Honestly my favourite has to be The morganville vampire series by Rachel Caine I can't put them down. Although, I do like other books as well.
I thought the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was fantastic, the whole series was really well written but Tolkein and Rowling will be first literary love, what do you ask think if the Divergent book to film adaptation?
I just loved the Divergent movie,I think it was a good idea that they made it into s movie, and they did a pretty good job!The acting was really good and some of the actors were good too.But they left out some characters and also some important parts, but I still think the movie was good,I really loved it :).What do you think about the movie?
