Life First discussion

Kelsey Anne Reed (23) is hooked up to a life monitoring system (LMS): a tiny computer chip that tracks the body’s major systems to make sure they’re functioning correctly. It is also used by the government to control PPL. Maya Reed is her deceased mom died under Dr. Grant’s care. Most organ donors are kept in long-term holding facilities. Instead of killing them the organs (heart, lungs, liver, & both kidneys) are removed & given to a person who believes in Life First needs. 50 yrs. ago Ilsa Wagoner’s family & the town got wiped out by an epidemic, researchers managed to eliminate the virus & she returned, this is why Life First (Oath to Preserve Life) was established. Ilsa was P/G & wanted to abort the baby, she was sent to a MI.
With help from her friend’s Lucas Jeremiah Geary (Luke) & Susan Harper they are going to help Kelsey with her plan.

Dr. Stephen Grant will remove the LMS & put it in Buddy, the families 5 Y/O dog. His dad is a politician & Haleema is his assistant. Kelsey needs to donate a kidney to an unknown person. The switch is done. Tyler; Kelsey’s B/F breaks up with her. Kelsey steals Susan’s car & is later arrested for fleeing a donation. She is taken to Maryland’s VG. holding facility # 2, she is dressed in high-latency flexible material (HLFM). She is examined by Dr. Klein & Dr. Slate. Kelsey has a hard time explaining to them her opinion, “his failing kidneys are killing him, not me.”

How will Kelsey’s case against her turn out? The story takes a turn. What is Kelsey’s future? Could she be P/G; is Luke the biological dad?

Former crisis/school counselor I like this “Pregnancy Psychosis” a new word for post-partum.

Another Big Brother type book. Quite unique. This could be a movie like Fahrenheit 451, 1984, Soylent Green, Westworld… Fairly easy to read/follow plot or story line. No grammar errors or out of line sequence. For the most part I enjoyed reading it, not a wow, but I will still give it 5 stars.
