This is where tributes, mentors, escorts, and stylists from District 3 stay during their time in the Capitol! :)

Zoe pushed open the door and they entered the room again. Their escort sat drinking wine on the couch.

Larc put a finger to his lips as if the mentor could actually hear them in [his/her (I don't remember...)] drunken state. He pulled her by the hand across the room and into the hall that led to the bedrooms.

Zoe tiptoed behind him. She covered her mouth to keep from laughing at the hideous and pathetic state that lay upon the couch.

"My room or yours?" Larc whispered.

"Yours," She replied, "Mine is littered with erm...well I'll explain later."

"All right," he said, opening the door to his room.

It was completely neat, of course, as if he hadn't done anything in it at all. Probably because he hadn't, really. He hadn't even gone under the covers when he slept; he just collapsed on top of the mattress.

Zoe entered and sat tentatively on his bed. It barely had even a crease in the sheets.

"So..." he began awkwardly, falling onto the bed next to her. "What do you want to do?"

Zoe rested her head on his shoulder. "What is there to do? All our equipment is back home and Snow is probably monitoring all activity we do anyway."

Larc's face lit up as an idea sprang into his head. "Have you ever done 'bed diving' before, Zoe?" he asked, jumping up.

Zoe looked up. "That sounds like something dad would have forbidden in our house." She jumped up excitedly. "How do you do it?"

"Okay, okay!" Larc exclaimed, walking to the opposite end of the giant room. "You run up to the bed..." -he demonstrated- "and then you jump on top of it!" He pushed up of the floor several feet away from the mattress and sank into the many pillows.

Zoe laughed. "Alright then." She took a few steps back then-Jump!-Poof! she hit the pillow and mattress.She rolled over laughing hard. "This is so fun! Yet so ridiculous! "

"Yes, yes it is!" Larc laughed. "And then... YOU DO IT AGAIN!" He really was quite excitable.

Zoe rolled out of the way just before he landed. She got up and jumped on it again. "You are a genius," She said to Larc.

"I sure am, aren't I?" Larc grinned at her.

"Thank you for sharing your genius." Zoe looked over at Larc.

Larc laughed. "Anytime!" He lay on the bed, looking up at the ceiling, feeling his weight sinking deeper and deeper into the pillows.

"It's crazy how these capitol people can make such comfortable cushions." Zoe wiggled down into the pillows.

"Yeah... I would prefer if I didn't feel like they were going to suffocate me, personally..." he reasoned.

"I know. I almost miss my flat mattress back home."

"Yeah..." Larc used a lot of effort to roll himself onto his side, so he was facing her.

Home. Zoe shook her head to remove the sad thought from sinking in. "Sorry."

"It's fine."

Zoe stared at the ceiling. "What do you think it means? An arena based on knowledge?"

"It means that the Capitol is really scraping around for ideas..." Larc laughed.

"I know. Snow must be desperate." But the idea had really been hugging Zo since the Quarter Quell had been announced.

"I doubt that knowledge will really get us anywhere in the arena. I bet this all staged so we don't know how to defend ourselves against the careers."

"Turds," Zoe muttered. "The lot of them."

Larc burst out laughing, accidentally nudging her as he rolled onto his stomach.

Zoe laughed with him.

He suddenly shot to his feet. "Pillow fight!" he declared, grabbing the nearest cushions.

Zoe grabbed the other pillow on the bed and held it up just as Larc's pillow came toward her.

Larc ran around behind her defenses and whammed her in the side with another pillow.

Zoe felt the impact and returned his blow with a swift pummel to the exposed foot.

Larc jumped back, grabbing a pillow off the floor and thrusting it in her direction.

Zoe narrowly dodged the pillow by jumping to the ground. She pushed up and thrust her pillow at Larc.

It hit him in the stomach and he fell onto the bed, where he grabbed another pillow to shield himself while throwing the other at Zoe.

Zoe caught his pillow then tackled him. She squished the pillow against his head laughing. "Did I win yet?"

Larc grabbed her waist and rolled over so their positions were swapped. "Not quite yet."

Zoe pouted. "Darn."

Delaney, through a welcome haze that only alcohol brought, pushed open the door to Larc's room, wine bottle in one hand. "Please. If you could refrain from such excitement until nightfall, that would be wonderful." She glared at them.

Larc jumped away from Zoe quickly.

Zoe looked up at their hungover mentor. "Look at that Larc," Zoe said stiffly, "The first thing she's spoken to us."

"If you had been worth speaking to, I might have before now," Delaney shot back.

"What are our names?" Larc quizzed their mentor, narrowing his eyes behind his glasses, crooked from the pillow fight.

"It's a shame our drunken mentor doesn't like me. How ever will I go on with my life?" Zoe retorted sarcastically.
