I read this book a few years ago. It's similar to A Bride Most Begrudging. A lady is sent to the colonies (I believe) as an indentured servant. She is sent because of a crime her husband did (who died). I remember her being chained outside in the snow. Someone takes her as a servant and allows her to sleep in the barn. She begins to work off her debt and her master learns she is pregnant. I do remember they fall in love. His wife had died years earlier. That's all I remember. Thanks

Leigh--how long ago was "a few years"? Was the woman a "lady" in the Colonial sense--meaning she was an aristrocrat or just that she was female?
I noticed "A Bride Most Begrudging" is tagged Christian fiction. Is your book Christian fiction too?
Leigh--it sometimes takes a while for a title to be found. Just bump this up every month or two, and someone will recognize it sooner or later.

I found it! I was cleaning out my dad’s house and found the book that I’ve been searching for. It’s called Spoke of Love by Cathy Marie Hake
