Huh. I've got 2K followers and Twitter rarely seems to help me at all! A few good friends and contacts but...good for the those clever freshman. I guess (!)

I have a few ideas as to why it may be valuable to others (aside from the cliff-notes aspect), but as someone who loves to read and doesn't use twitter, it's not something I'm interested in reading.

I suppose it's useful for those who want to know the quick facts (for party conversation?), or perhaps as a blurb to test whether or not you want to read the book. Or maybe it's an entertaining way to be distracted throughout the day, as the tweets come in over your phone.

I don't think this is the way I would like to read a book. I want to be drawn into the story with long descriptions. Sometimes I think things are just too fast paced now, the enjoyment from the experience too short lived. Great question, btw.
