I don't believe I'd want to live in the world of This Star Shall Abide by Sylvia Louise Engdahl. It's a masterful work of science fiction, but...well, I won't say anything about the world in which the story is set, so as not to spoil anything. :-) But Sylvia Louise Engdahl is, without exaggeration, a brilliant writer.

I third The Hunger Games. But thinking about it, Under the Dome too. I mean, I haven't yet read it but being trapped in a dome isn't exactly good. e.e
Then you might be interested in living in the utopian society Neal Shusterman creates in his forthcoming book, Scythe. When I last asked him about Scythe several months ago, he said he planned to start writing it as soon as he finished the rewrites on Challenger Deep and Undivided. I'm looking forward to reading all of them!
The Bone Season, 1984, Fahrenheit 451, The Hunger Games is 7thed, The Lord of the Flies, The Giver is 4thed, Fablehaven, Sabriel, The Spiderwick Chronicles, A Series of Unfortunate Events... I could keep going. I never knew there were so many!
Divergent, The Giver, I can't think of any more at the moment.
I'd have to say The Host, Eve, The Maze Runner, The Hunger Games, and The Giver! There's probably more but I can't think of anymore...
Anthem!!!The Uglies series, House Of Night (not with Neferet in the picture anyway xD), The Mortal Instruments series, Darkest Powers: The Summoning. etc xD
