This is one of my favorite books of all time and I'm excited to read it AGAIN! Love it so much :) Can't wait to discuss it!
There are a few books I don't remember too well but I think I can still say this is my favorite Sarah Dessen book. Everything else about this book aside for now, Eli is just perfection. Absolutely adore him!
this is probably my favourite sarah dessen book of all time - and also the first sarah dessen book i read too.
I seem to stand alone in this, but Along for the ride is actually my least favorite Dessen. It was the first one I read and I remember not liking the main character and her love interest (the stepmom was great though!) and the book dragged on a bit. I've been liking the other Dessen books we've been reading a lot better! So I'm not going to reread this one and instead I'm going to read Just Listen because I missed that month.

This is one of the Sarah Dessen books I don't own so had to check it out at the library, excited to read it.
This is my favorite Sarah Dessen book! (Tbh, I've only read Lock & Key and this one, but I found this one to be so much better.) I loved the romance and setting of this book. It was so fun to read for my book report!
I borrowed it from my local library. Excited to read it (hopefully finish it this month sooner than the last day)
This has been sitting on my shelf for a while so I am excited to start reading it! Starting it tonight!
This was my first sarah dessen book, and I hate myself for reading it because now I'm addicted to all of her novels! This book took a little while setting everything up, but by the time I got to page 75 or something I couldn't put it down! I think it's a really good book to take to the pool or beach or like when you're babysitting or something and the kids are asleep. If you have a good amount of time to try out this book, then you will really appreciate it better than if you read little 5 minute increments. P.S. I hate Audens mom!!
I loved this book! I am quickly becoming a Sarah Dessen fan. Before this club I had never read any of her books.
This was the first Sarah Dessen book I read and I instantly fell in love with her writing
This is one of the Sarah Dessen novels that I have yet to pick up and read, so I am looking forward to being a part of the reading.
First of all, thank you for making me read this book!! I read This Lullaby a while ago and I hadn't gotten around to reading other books by Sarah Dessen. The minute I started reading this one I remembered how easy it is to read them, I couldn't put it down.I love how her stories aren't just about the love part. But there's always some other issue involved. I didn't really like Eli at first but he grew on me for sure :) I will absolutely try to participate again next month.

I loved "What happen to goodbye"! That's my first!
I read this one over the summer, and it was my first Sarah Dessen book! And it remains my favorite so far! I really loved Auden, and felt for her with the screwed up family relationships. Her dad was AWFUL!! I did love her stepmother!
I love this story it is so well written and beautiful. It tells a story of brokenness that was fixed by riding a bike. I just love the plot, story and everything about it!!
I just finished the book, it was the first Sarah Dessen book I ever read! I really enjoyed it, but I felt like I wanted some more kick to it. Maybe more drama, some more SPUNK or idk, something :) What do you guys think? Can't wait for next months read!
I hope its okay to spoil some stuff now because I'm dying to discuss this book! As one of my favorites ever ive read it a bunch of times and the thing I love the most is probably that (I think anyways) Auden helps pull Eli out of the safe little shell he created for himself. The development of each individual character makes their story so unique and amazing. Although theres other stuff going on with their lives its their friendship and eventual romantic connection that really made me fall in love with them!
I have a really hard time reading books where the characters lose someone and completely shut down, much like Eli did, but their story gave me so much hope and happiness that I think its totally worth it!
Plus I love that they are both insomniacs since I am one myself!
LOVED IT :)

, that had a lot more drama and oomph than I was expecting!
Hey guys! I just started this book a couple days ago!
So first off, Auden's dad! I do not like him at all! I am really interested in seeing how Auden's relationship with Heidi takes off. Now I read this book FOREVER ago and it's one of the few Sarah Dessen books I literally remember nothing about! I hope to fall in love with the story!
How are you guys liking it so far?

I was interested with the fact that both parents are academically driven. And Auden is a very smart girl. I envy her drive. I also really love Maggie, she is a great example of being both pretty and smart.
I agree with Auden's dad can't stand him at all, but her mom drives me even more crazy.
I'm half way thro and im totally loving it! Auden is amazingly written and I can relate to her a lot. I think her dad is an awful person tho I dont really hate him. I'm enjoying Auden and Heidi's rationship and how it grows and im so excited to see where it will go!
so far so good. oh, and Eli is just adorable!
This arrived today, I've been waiting for it to come from the library, hopefully I get to start this week.
Just finished the book last night and I thought it was really good. It's the first Sarah Dessen book I've read, but I can tell she is really good. I can't wait to read more. Heidi really surprised me (in a good way) in this book! Just goes to show that you really can't judge a book by it's cover :)
Along For The Ride wasn't my favorite by Sarah Dessen, but it wasn't my least favorite either. I didn't like Auden's mom or dad. They are both horrible parents, but her mom does redeem herself near the end. I just think they were to hard on Auden. I think Heidi and Maggie were my favorite characters because I found them to be the most relatable. I also wasn't a huge fan how Sarah Dessen portrayed insomnia. I am an insomniac and I just think Eli and Auden seemed more okay with their condition than a person with insomnia usually is. For me it is a major inconvenience. I guess it affects everyone differently, so I know I probably shouldn't complain.
I didn't end reading the book because it bored me :( I will pick it again maybe in summer when I'm in the mood for this kind of books!
This is the second Sarah Dessen book I've read. I really enjoyed it for the most part. Like most other people, her parents really annoyed me, especially how her dad treated Heidi. I was a big fan of Heidi and Maggie! Not my absolute favorite, but I was still captivated by it. :)
Just finished the book today, I enjoyed it. I am still new to the world of Dessen but I don't think it was my favorite. I did like the moral that I took from it though. My view might be different but what I took away from this was people can evolve. I mean through out the book her Mom always commented on people not being able to change and her Dad was a prime example of the not changing thing. But at the end everything came together and the characters evolved and I really appreciated that message. Great Pick.
