what about Fablehaven?? the series... I believe there are 5 books in the series...I'm currently reading Harry Potter...
my 1st go on the Series :)
Jill, Fablehaven sounds interesting (and that from someone who usually doesn't read that sort of book. lol). Teresa, do you think it would be good to add this to our series reads?
Sure, I can set up a thread for Fablehaven. I might even set up the Harry Potter one in case people are interested in joining along with Jill for a first reading, or even a re-reading. I might even read them again in that case.edit: Those threads have been started. I'll need some time to get a list of the books and information about them set up. I need to go tend to some things on the homefront in the meantime!

What about "The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters" by Gordon Dahlquist? It is a series of 2 books,I think there was supposed to be more but they have not come out.
Hi, I just found out that the 3 book in the. Series came out in oct. 2013 it's called Chemikal Marriage. That's the end of the series. Thanks,
Kersten

Thanks for the suggestion, Kersten. I think I'd like to keep Series Reads for books that have more than 3 books in them, but we'll see. I'll wait and see if there's more interest in these books before making a decision for sure.
Okay, what if we have already read one book of a series before April 1 and now want to read book 2 and 3 of the series? Will that meet criteria?
This challenge is yearly so the start date has no bearing. I started the J. D. Robb series in the 90s, when it was written and I still participate in the discussion thread. Like I said in the intro, for series with just 3 books, the only requirement is that the series must be very close to being complete so that people don't have to wait around 6 months or longer to read and discuss it.
So yes, to answer your question, that is fine. :)

It does not matter which book you are starting with, just read along at your own pace. If you would like to try to maintain a specific pace (say, one book per month), that can be outlined for the series itself.
Requirement: Must be at least 3 books to be considered a series, and the final book (if there are only 3 books total) must be published within 3 months of starting the thread. All other series of more than 3 books are exempt from that requirement.
