Poetry About Food

Part 1; Food, Oh Glorious Food
Dedicated to food-lovers
All over the universe and those hidden within the patterns of constellations

The Onion
The onion, the onion
The onion I seek
I journey on a quest
Fighting my way through veggie dragons
and through the Forest of Macaroni Jars
To find the onion
within
Refrigerator Mountain
Is it perhaps the same onion you seek?

The Apple
The apple sitting there
Right near my favorite chair
Has a shine
And I claim it mine
A reliever of pain
It keeps you sane
Crunchy and sweet
It can’t be beat

Pizza
Pizza the Great
Pizza the Wonderful
Pizza is hard to hate
Pizza with cheese
Pizza with pepperoni
It does not matter
Because pizza is dominant

The Grape Vine
The grape vine is divine
And it is forever mine
It has splendid ness
And awesomeness
It holds the grape
Taste and more
The grape vine

Peach
Peach so round,
It’s always mouth-bound.
On the door of our taste buds, you pound,
And they wake,
With joy, they quake.

Beet
Beet ever sweet,
It is a remarkable feat,
On somebody’s part.
They are delightful to the heart.
Red and round,
They are forever mouth-bound.

Lollipop
Lollipop, lollipop
Makes your mouth go POP!
Colorful sugar swirls and twirls
Within your mouth it curls
Lollipop, Lollipop
Makes your taste buds hop

Cereal
Cereal
Is quite imperial
From sugar to healthy
They are always wealthy
In taste
