I stumbled across Keyes series called "Kingdoms of Thorn and Bones" completely by accident, and ended up adoring the series! I still have to read The Born Queen, though...

I read his Children of the Changeling series (The Waterborn, The Blackgod), ironically his least famous series. I didn't even realize he was such a big name in fantasy until after I read them, when I saw his name everywhere, LOL. I think I'll read Kingdom of Thorn and Bones. His books are compelling.

I still think of him as J. Gregory Keyes, his name on the Changeling series, and it was some time before I realized Greg Keyes was the same guy.

The Changeling series remains my favorite but I also really liked his historical fantasy series (can't remember its name). Wouldn't have had anything to do with it except it was written by Greg Keyes so it can't be that bad. I was right.
