Help! I have a friend who I consider intelligent, but I need to give him a recent book to read on climate change. He gets all his info from Fox News and believes climate change is a liberal conspiracy to for further regulations.

I'd try Merchants of Doubt by Naomi Oreskes. It will explain how a small group of "scientists" made a living supporting doubt of everything from cigarettes to global warming. Maybe your friend can see how these powerful companies used prostitute "scientists" to fool people. Then again, your friend may not be intelligent enough to read through such a book if he watches Fox for his "news."
