MiraC Kanin once said that humans can only comprehend things as dead or alive, but vampires exist in a small grey area. So were is zeke now?

Jaz Mirza I honestly do not know what to think. I want to say the Zeke is alive, but I dont know. He could have been turned you know. Sarren is taking Zeke with him because he knows Allie will be there and he has "another brutal shock" for her. He might completely kill Zeke there in front of her or, he will show that Zeke is a monster too... right outside of Eden. I dont know!!! AHHHH!!!! Why cant April come quicker!!!!!

Malanala I actually think he turned into a vampire. That line Sarren says before killing him still haunts me and I kept rereading it intil it made sense.

"Then, let me release you from this mortal coil and send you gently into the eternal night"- Sarren

Sarren took Zeke away from being mortal so he can forever be in the night as a vampire. Am I making sense?

Yeah. You are making sense. I though Zeke changed as well when I read that. Gosh. I don't know what to think!!!!

Jenny Yeah, I think so too. I mean,Julie won't do this to us right? *this I mean killing Zeke* but he definitely won't be alive(or human)so...yeah. And of course I really hope he was turned into a vamp because at least,it would be better than him being dead...

Rhyn G Here's what I think is gonna happen:

1) He is most definitely a vampire.
2) As said in the previous book, he is "too human" to survive being a vampire. Meaning, he is batshit crazy by the time they find him (being turned and "raised" by Sarren wouldn't help matters either).
3) He is preparing to slaughter everyone in Eden, so Allison has to kill him herself.
4) I commit some form of violent, messy suicide after the book is done.

Katie I agree with Jazzy especially after reading that line, I had a fit rolling on the floor crying (only a slight exaggeration) because I believed that Zeke was a vampire and there is no way that Zeke should never be a vampire. I don't really see any scenario where he could still be human. I really need the next instalment, like now. I HAVE to know what happened!!!

Selinia Marina Yeah,I think Sarren has turned Zeke into a vampire because in the last sentences of the book Sarren said:
“She is coming,” he whispered, a grin stretching his ravaged face. “I cannot wait to see the look on her face when she finds us again. It will be a song for the ages.” He chuckled and glanced into the van’s interior, where a dark form lay slumped in the corner. “Don’t you think so…Ezekiel?"

And Julie Kagawa in the description of the last book says that Zeke is dead, vampires are dead so I think Zeke has turned into a vampire, which I think is better than being human because if they manage to kill Sarren or really stop him for good this time,if they stay alive Zeke as a vampire could be with Allie forever!!!
Oh,godd I hopee Zeke is still aliveeee(even as a vampire)!!!!!!

Alex I totally believe Zeke is a vampire but as he said before he knows he could not handle that life and it would consume him. So... (starts tearing up) Allison will find him and she'll get him out of his insane mind set and he'll remind her of her promise, so...death will most likely due them part unless they find a cure of vampirism, or worst Zeke is turned but is vampire with some of rabidness as well ô.ô oh goodness! its just too much! >.<

Briar How can anyone read, “let me release you from this mortal coil, and send you gently into the eternal night,” and not believe that Zeke is a vampire now?

How can anyone read that last part of the epilogue and not believe that (whether in vampire form or human form) that Zeke is still alive? Yeah, Sarren is crazy but he's not stupid and it would be stupid to drive around in a van with Zeke's corpse in the back when he knows three vampires are tracking him. It would just slow him down.

I wholeheartedly believe that Zeke is a vampire now ... or a rabid since we don't know if Sarren's a master vampire who can actually make vampires.

MiraC I don't buy the whole rabid thing, as a rabid wouldn't sit calmly in the back of a truck.
Plus, I found the whole first two chapters! Here is the url:https://sample-13128c9bcf83bc5213b676...

Briar Thanks for the chapters!

Sasha HAHAHA We all know the answer now.

Poor Zeke...

At least they're together forever)))

message 14: by Zoi (new)

Zoi Fleming Zeke is more than likely alive, whether in vampire form or human. Briar, makes sense. Why would he leave a corps. And honestly any of you who think he will be turned into a rabid are stupid. Don't you remember the cure is in HIS BLOOD. HE isthe cure to rabidism, he will NOT BE TURNED INTO A RABID. and yes I do believe he will be a vampire because of the words Sarren said plus the fact when Zeke "supposedly dies" he could of just been bit by Sarren being drained to near death and then fed Vampire blood. I am literally on the first page of the book and I think he's a Vampire.

Yup. You were right. Sarren "childered" Zeke in the forever song.
