Hello Everybody!

Glad to see you all here! While many of us already know each other in way or another, I look forward to getting to know you again in this different capacity.

With that being said, I wanted to remind you all that this group is for FUN! It is a very casual group and participation is not mandatory to be a member. We all know that sometimes life gets in the way and makes focusing on a book impossible. Or there may be those times when we pick a book you just have no interest in or are not in the mood for. That is perfectly fine. There are 12 months of the year to participate.

Anyway, feel free to tell us about your favorite books and what you love to read! I am excited to get this bookclub off the ground. Also, spread the word! This is one time when the more of us there are, the merrier it will be!

My favorite books are probably YA dystopia, YA contemporary, historical fiction, fantasy, and some sci-fi. Some of my all time favorite books are: Harry Potter Boxset, The Magicians, Shōgun, Pride and Prejudice, anything by Jasper Fforde (especially the Thursday Next series), anything by Libba Bray, Sarah Dessen, or Rick Riordan, The Secret History, The Hunger Games,Eat, Pray, Love, A Year in Provence, Outlander, Daughter of Smoke & Bone, Wither, Anansi Boys and a whole ton more I'll probably think of as soon as I submit this.
My two favorite reads of 2013, and definitely contenders for my "favorite books of all time" list were probably Fangirl and Longbourn.
