What did you think?

I haven't read the manga yet. Only watched the anime.
But it was good.
It was REAL good. XD

i like this series so much more than the tsubasa series (which that one is good too). it's really popular in the stores that i go to to get books, so i have a hard time getting the newer ones.

I've read all that my library has so far (1-13) its really good!

i have through 12. it's tough fighting off the other people to get to 13. plus since i buy the majority of manga that i read, i don't want the beaten up ones that are left behind. not that #13 is even on the shelf to be beaten up. haha

no worries! i feel really behind with tsubasa. i was trying to read them at the same time, but then ended up mainly focusing on holic. but it's fine because of the way clamp wrote the two series, that you can read them separately or together. which in my opinion makes it even cooler

so i went on the mangaone webbie, (since my boyfriend had shown me how to zoom in and all) and read of the the available chapters of holic. oh! it gets soo good!

i had a dyslexic moment. it's that onemanga.com mentioned in the tsubasa discussion. though, mangafox.com is a good site too

it gets clearer as the series continues. i'm sure that if i kept up with tsubasa, there would be more tidbits for me to pick up on. is ch. 55 around book 5? the demon interaction really calms down as you read if that's the confusing part. it's been a while since i re-read the series, but i guess i would be re-reading it from a different perspective since i know what happens later in the series. ah, but re-reading things is so much fun!

i guess that calms down too. sort-of. i really didn't notice an abundant amount of people dieing though. maybe i'm just used to lots of people dying in a series. you know, at least one person has to die, or already be dead (but still impact a character in some way) for a series to be any good. i really can't think of a single series that was worth anything that didn't follow that rule.

XXXHolic was a little on the creepy side...if you think about it. But I really enjoyed it.

holic is creepy? really? i think descendants of darkness is creepier, and i don't really consider that to be creepy either. oh well, i guess watching all of those b rated horror movies in high school helped me build up a tiny resistance to it.

i kind of like that. some people don't get it when it's sugarcoated.

yeah. that can be tough sometimes.

I mean, its not that creepy to read, but if you were in that situation, it would be creepy.

Have any of you watched the xxxHoLic movie? (A Midsummer Nights Dream) I really liked it as well as the anime. It was pretty creepy.....

no i haven't/ i don't even see it in stores anymore. my best buy is lame...

aw. too bad... :( It comes in a double set with the Tsubasa movie, which is pretty good, too.

i must keep my eyes peeled for it then. maybe target will have it. they always surprise me with the stuff they pick up.

I know that libraries tend to have it. I'm so lame, the library is always my answer.
