Can you recommend me other books written in this beautiful prose?

David I really enjoyed this book because it was so beautifully written. I felt it was deep and insightful in its introspection, but also written in a way that is so simple that I wish to emulate it.

I am wondering if you could recommend me books written in a similar style. I am not asking for another book written by a US President or an African American. I don't care if it's autobiographical or fiction. I just want to read a book that is written in a similar style as this one. Recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Kim you may like "I'll Seize the Day Tomorrow" I am not sure if this is what you are looking for https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

David Thanks!

Jane Carlson One of my favorite reads of 2013 was My Beloved World by Sonia Sotomayor. Beautifully written and inspirational. Should be a "must read" for all young women (and men).

Kressel Housman Funny you should say that because I felt that the voice in the Africa section was so different than the previous two, it was almost like reading a whole different book.

Kressel Housman But if you like African stories, you might like The Joys of Motherhood by Buchi Emecheta.

The Autobiography of Malcolm X is far better than this book. Malcolm lived a better life and you know it.

Carmen Hartono Rather than a memoir, I like to call this genre a non-fiction narrative.

Based in San Francisco, the following tells of a Catholic woman from El Salvador married to a man from Indonesia. Her husband's Muslim roots did not become evident until their daughter married a Jew in New York.

Carmen Hartono You might also enjoy 'King Blue, Boogie Till the Roof Caves In'
