I've managed to read two books I bought in 2013 - Forbidden Jewel of India by Louise Allen and The Luckiest Lady in London by Sherry Thomas.
I'm going to try to make a dent in the rather large pile of second-hand paperbacks sitting by my bed this year as well as getting through some of the books that have been sitting on my Kindle for over a year.
This quarter's reads:The Devil's Waltz by Anne Stuart
At Your Pleasure by Meredith Duran
To Kiss a Thief by Kate Moore
Marrying The Royal Marine by Carla Kelly
Yours Until Dawn by Teresa Medeiros
Secrets of a Summer Night by Lisa Kleypas (this was an audiobook I've been meaning to listen to for ages!)
With seven last quarter, I'm now two books ahead :)
ETA: I think I mistakenly counted the Kleypas twice - damn!
Karen wrote: "Two books ahead...nice :)"It is :) With any luck, I'll be able to keep ahead of myself so I don't fall down at the last moment :P
Diane wrote: "well done being ahead in your readin..I'm 3 behind in my challenge...mojo gone walkabouts..!"Well, I aimed lower this year. Last year I was three short of target (36) so I thought I'd make it easier this year!
Another one down from the big pile of used paperbacks by the bed!
] - and I'm about to start another one, so I'm still slightly ahead of target.
I'm slipping a bit now unfortunately! I've only managed another two books in the last couple of months:
and
.Plus the audiobook of
, which I think puts me at 17 in total so far.
One more book and one more audio down:
and
(audio). I'm just starting
, which will bring me to 20. Hopefully, I can squeeze in another four titles and make the summit!
Diane wrote: "You can see the summit I bet...lol...well done."I can see it - but I still have to get there!
One more book down:
Just finished
, another Christmassy title. That leaves one more to go which I'm sure I'll manage by the end of the year.Phew!
My final title is
by Loretta Chase. I've had the ebook for a while, but a new audio version came out just before Christmas, so I listened to that.I do tend to use audiobooks as a way of getting through my TBR pile sometimes, especially when they're of older titles or in long-running series when I haven't had time to read the earlier books.
Anyway, if that one counts, that's my 24 and I've scaled Mont Blanc!

I didn't quite make it all the way up Mt. Vancouver last year, so I'm setting a more modest goal for 2014.
