Jaimey,
You are very wise to do this. My husband and I had a great talk about balance this past week. We are making sure that we have family time, date night, and of course Madison's famous chore list. I was able to write a book in the first place because we have such a rich family life. Home comes first for me.
We need to give each read our undivided attention and be patient. I am so excited about my book it can be tempting to expect the whole world to be just as excited and make it a priority. Alas I have learned noone will be as devoted to The Poisoned Apple than me. Greatness takes time.

I'm in the same boat. I am enjoying your story very much but I promised Dee months ago to review her book. She even sent me an autographed pb. I feel so bad!
It's not even that her book is uninteresting; quite the opposite, in fact. For some reason, I seem to think I should force myself to speedread everything I've got, all at once. It's insane, truly insane.
The worst part: I haven't written or edited or proofed or read anything of my own in several days--until this morning. I was beginning to feel so lost. :o(

Sharon, do you mind if I move Kathy's book ahead of yours? I actually promised her a novel exchange a while ago and she has already finished mine so I feel I should do it sooner rather than later. Then you don't have to feel pressured to get mine done. I promise, when I get back to yours it will be done quickly. I had trouble tearing myself way when I did! I am nearly done with Dee's so it shouldn't be long now...
Happy writing, all!

That's fine, Jaimey. I was look at my stack of Vine books last night and just groaning, LOL. I may skip requesting any in July just to try to catch up. I am reading yours on the computer until the glare makes my eyes sore and then have to stop for a while ... the price of technology, I guess. :-) So, yeah. Please read in whatever order you like; I'll not condemn you.
Here's the deal: I have this list of "to-reads" that I have promised to review and I have been pressuring myself to get them done all at once. My husband tells me this isn't fair to the authors to whom I made the promises. I need to read one, giving it all my concentration, review it, then move on to the next one in my list.
My apologies to the excellent authors of these excellent books. My first promise was to Dee Marie, so Sons of Avalon: Merlin's Prophecy is the one that will receive my undivided attention--book-wise, that is. (My children DO require my attention occasionally.) :o)
Here's the rest of the list, just FYI:
Dee Marie's Sons of Avalon: Merlin's Prophecy
Sharon Cathcart's In The Eye of The Beholder: A Novel of The Phantom of the Opera
Kgcummings' The Wind Whispers War: A Vietnam Love Story
I apologize to all of you for any delays, but I want to be as fair as possible.
