What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Hi. I read an ebook a few years ago about a girl whose father was from another planet where females are not allowed without an escort. The girl was about to meet with her father for ghe first time when the girl gets kidnapped by her father's enemy and is then seduced by the enemy in front of the entire planet. Please could some one help me find it? The book was in a series of two books but each book could also be a standalone as well.
