Come get your ice cream!!

Courtney grinned leading Lana to the ice cream shop

Lana followed her in, smiling.

"Here we are!"

She looked around. "Seems cold." she said.

"But it's delicious!"

Lana nodded. "Okay."

"I'll pay! What do you want?"

She shrugged. "Chocolate?"

"Two chocolates it it! Large or small?"

She shrugged. "Small?"

"Okay!" She went up ordering two small chocolate cones.

Lana carefully held Lillian. "What should I do with her?"

"Oh set her in the stroller if you would like!"

She nodded and put her in.

Lillian clapped.

Courtney handed her her ice cream

Lana smiled and began eating.

"Good?" She asked

She grinned and nodded.

She began to eat hers smiling

Lana finished hers after a few minutes.

As did Courtney. She smiled brightly.

She grinned wider. "That was good."

"Ice cream is amazing!"

"Definitely."

She giggled

Lana looked around. "I can't believed I've missed it so long."

Courtney smiled. "See I'm a good friend!"

She laughed. "Yes you are."

Her heart filled up with warmth

Lana grinned. "You're really nice."

"Thanks. You are too!"

She blushed. "Thanks."

"So where do you live?"

Lana pointed in the general direction. "Over there."

"Cool!" She smiled

She smiled. "I live with my dad."

"Oh...." She looked down. She had no idea where her parents were.

Lana's face fell. "Did I say something?" she asked, then she remembered what Courtney had said earlier. "Oh. Right. Sorry."

"Hey not you fault!" She smiled shaking her head.

She smiled tightly. "I know, but it's hard to not have one parent, so I can't imagine not having either of my parents." she said, quietly.

She walked closer and hugged her.

Lana smiled. "I hope you find the right guy with a big family." she said.

Courtney smiled. "Yeah, maybe I will. I hope you do too!" She nodded. "Want me to walk you home?"

She shook her head. "I'm not sure I want to go home. I think I may hang out and see if anything exciting happens." she said.

"Okay deal!" She laughed. "Where do you want to go?!"

Lana shrugged. "Maybe find and hang out with one of the guys from the gang. Jesse's a big teddy bear and he always finds excitement. He's hot too." she said, giggling.

Courtney made a face and laughed out loud. She shook her head. "Sure.." She nodded and got the stroller.

She pulled out her phone and called him, then hung up a minute later. "He's at the skating rink. You coming?"

"Sure!" She began pushing Lillian who was asleep again.
