This is the website of a lovely friend and great Australian artist Tina Fiveash. I am making a thread for her work so others can have the opportunity of enjoying it too.
"Tina Fiveash is an Australian photo artist who has been exhibiting since the 1990s. Her work has appeared on billboards, illuminated public advertising spaces, festivals, galleries, book covers and magazines throughout the world.
Engaging in multiple forms of contemporary photo-media including: still photography, animated lenticular photography, and stop-motion animation, Tina’s work has been represented in several international art exhibitions including – Got the Message? 50 Years of Political Posters at the Art Gallery of Ballarat in 2013, Terra Nullius: Contemporary Art from Australia and Die Ideale Ausstellung [Kunstfest Weimar], Germany, in 2009. Her most recent series, Grace, exhibited at the Queensland Centre for Photography in 2012, was supported by a New Work Grant from the Australia Council for the Arts.
Much of Tina’s early queer, political photography, as well as her collaborative award-winning, public art project, Hey Hetero! (with Deborah Kelly) have been widely studied in universities, and included in several major Australian and international art surveys, including “The Queer Encyclopedia of the Visual Arts” [Edited by Clause J. Summers, GLBTQ Inc. 2004].
Currently, Tina is undertaking a PhD at The Australian National University, Research School of Humanities and the Arts, Majoring in Visual Arts. Tina’s work is held in the Australian Artbank Collection, The Art Gallery of Ballarat, Whitford Fine Art Gallery (London) and several private collections around the world."
