Yammy | 177 comments Is anyone else watching this show? it's pretty good sci-fi and keeps me guessing as to what's going on. Not what I was expecting in a zombie show...

Randy Harmelink | 2188 comments I was a little disappointed with it, but still watching.

Yammy | 177 comments Yeah I know right? Not what I expected... feels more like sci-fi, not zombies.

Sara | 94 comments I watched the first 2 episodes of this...reminds me of the movie "Alien" in some ways. Some of the writing though....like the choices that blonde CDC field agent makes..."I'm gonna stick my face in front of a rogue research monkey while not wearing any type of protective gear"..."Infected crazies on the loose? Time to put on my earbuds and make sure my back is unguarded." LOL

Yammy | 177 comments hahaha, what gets me is the fact that they have a "security team" of like six people.

when i saw the preview i expected it be like a outbreak show with lots of fast zombies.

just isn't the case. plus who knew the cdc could be so inept?

Randy Harmelink | 2188 comments Absolutely loved the "rapid growth" scene...

Did they say what killed it? I wonder if it could be used as part of a cure, as long as it didn't kill the host (like the "cure all" they developed).

message 7: by Yammy (new)

Yammy | 177 comments they didn't say but i imagine it was some sort of toxic gas which would also kill the host.

i didn't buy into the whole cure all thing. just wondering when they'll bring out the shotguns and the riot shields. that little stun baton isn't going to cut it soon.

We watched the first one. It didn't completely catch my attention, but we're hoping it will get awesome at some point.

Yammy | 177 comments i'm thinking once the infection spreads it will get better. the cliffhanger at the end of ep. 3 has my attention.

i don't get the army guy's motives at all though.

Jennifer | 335 comments Its enough to keep me interested...although the whole Alaska thing is very tiresome...especially to someone who lives in Alaska. :)

I assume his orders are to keep everything under wraps, no matter what. The military is probably the major funding of the whole project. More for military applications than looking for a "cure all".

There may even be a self destruct mechanism of some type, to wipe the whole facility off the map.

message 12: by Yammy (new)

Yammy | 177 comments This show has a slow-draw approach. It doesn't feel as big-budget as I thought it was going to be when i saw the trailers for it.

It has just enough to keep me interested but nothing to really make me a rabid fan.

message 13: by Yammy (new)

Yammy | 177 comments okay it's official. This show sucks.

For a facility with hundreds of researchers, why do we keep seeing the same people and why aren't any of the same people we keep seeing developed properly?

the zom- uh... whatever they're called pose little if any threat.

They are known for lurking in the ducts and that's about it. They're running around but nobody really cares about stopping them because they're just that lame of a plot device.

The base security forces? About ten guys. tops.

CDC team goes missing. does the CDC care enough to investigate this? nope.

Also, aliens. just no.

Thia (thial) | 133 comments I'm with you Yammy. I'm out. I really wanted to like this show but it's just terrible. I was tivoing and saving them up- just made it to the Jeri Ryan "Big Pharma" is the big bad episode and finally called it. The plot, the acting, the boring retread tropes - nothing good here for me. Too bad, it had potential.
