The women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong the first book is
it The Hollows series by Kim Harrison the first book is
I'll second Dresden, which I think is by far the best read and well known Urban Fantasy out there on the market today. Plus I always preferred the original cover:
, which I think is still on the cover of the audio books.
I'll nominate the Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne, starting with Hounded or the Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger starting with Soulless.
I also vote for the Harry Dresden series. My second choice vote is Iron Druid series mentioned above by Kevin Hearne. I just finished the Hollow series read along moderated by Kim Harrison, and it was so fun!

I don't think the first was a favorite in the group when it was the BOTM (and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to nomina..." Oooo, that sounds like a great idea! I've always wanted to read the Dresden series, but I've just never gotten around to it. I watched the series on T.V. and loved it. The books can only be better. Aren't there like 15 of those suckers out?
I also nominate the Dresden files and a +1 for The Iron Druid Chronicles. To clarify: there are 14 books in the Dresden series with 1 more for may (I think) of this year.... As for the iron druid chronicles we have 6 full novels and a novella (actually relevant to the plot) plus 1 more novel for some time in june or july
TERRA LUNA isn't a series yet, because the next book is only half done. But if you like the Faeries of Old Ireland (who now must live in the United States), rather than vampires/werewolves/zombies, we're dropping our Amazon price to 99 cents. And, yes, it will be a series.
This could be put up for nominations for a book of the month, but there needs to be more than one book already published in a series for me to make it a series read along.
Brace yourselves.. lolI adore these 2 series:
and
Some other options may be..
I'm... going to stop now. lol.

It reminds a lot of The Dresden Files, it has various mythological beings, such as werewolves, vampires, ancient gods, etc...
My favorite character is Oberon, he's the main character's dog and he's awesome!
Am reading the The Tower's Alchemist and Dark Rift, and can't wait to read Circadian Circle. This trilogy by Alesha Escobaris great. I nominate it and request you read it. I just wrote an in depth review and interview on it for those of you who are interested. http://www.hmjones.net/1/post/2014/02...
Pawn of Prophecy. I loved this series! There isn't a formula, it's one epic story told in 5 books! Wonderful and so creative!
Amy wrote: "Kevin wrote: " or the Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger sta..."What Marcos said about the Iron Druid series. If you were asking about the Parasol Protectorate series, It's a cross between Urban Fantasy and Steampunk. It's set in Victorian England, I believe, but an England where vampires are the pinnacle of high society, and werewolves are the basis of the military.
This is a pretty awesome series. Alexia Tarrabotti, the main character is an extremely strong willed spinster, who tangles frequently with Lord Maccon, the werewolf head of BUR (The Bureau of Unnatural Registry). It's got that very prim and proper Victorian feel to it, with tons of British Humor
This is an awesome series and an amazing author. His writing is smart, funny, and dark. My editor brain doesn't turn on when I read his work, and that's a rare occurrence.
Rachael Pruitt ...looking forward to the second book in this lovely series...
