Hello,

I would like to know how to change a book cover. My book was just released and we have gotten some negative feedback on the cover. We have the new cover ready to go and will be changing it all of the sales sites (Amazon, Smashwords, iBookstore, etc.) over the next few days.

How do I change the cover on the edition that I have on Goodreads? I have read that I need to create a new edition for the same book and then merge. I have also read that I need a librarian to do the combination. I have also read the I need to contact Goodreads support for the change. I have also read that I can change the default edition myself. That's a lot of reading and very little clarity on what I need to do. Thus, my post here :)

Can someone help me understand what I need to do and how I need to do it?

When you have your new cover on Amazon just post a link in this thread and someone will add the new edition with the new cover and combine them.

The edition that is already on Goodreads will keep the existing cover but you can choose the new cover to be the one that shows up in searches etc.

I quite like the old cover.

Someone else had added the new edition. I've changed the cover for one without Amazon flashes and added the necessary librarian notes.

To set the default edition of this book to the newest cover:
Click here:

On the right-hand side of the page about halfway down, click "Set this book as the primary edition for this work".
Click "Save Changes"

One more question - how do I add this cover edition to the lists that my book is already on? When I try to add it, it shows that I have already voted for a book on this list and doesn't let me choose the new cover edition.
