Yay :) I'm not the only one who doesn't like Harry Potter.
I would whack this waste of paper with a stick
This cover is a lie
A main character who would rather watch movies than take her CHOSEN ONE role seriously
I rather know if it was a terrible book or not, I hate it when people try to be nice and not offend any one and not say if the book was awfull.
I hope that makes sense.
I hope that makes sense.
It actually does make sense. One of the things that makes a book terrible for me is how a main character acts.
Ikr, it bugs me when the main character is supposed to be this amazingly powerful person and all they do is hide behind other people and whine.
Perfect way to describe what kind of main characters I hate the most!! I also hate the kind that don't do anything for themselves but drool over a guy. And then I hate the kind that just throw their family and life away for a love interest.
I dislike the hunger games. A lot. There is a funny parody of the song from catching fire on youtube. You guys should see it.
Twilight. I read the whole series and wished I hadn't. and I don't hate The Hobbit but I've tried at least half a dozen times since middle school to read it and I can't get more than thirty pages in.
But mostly, Twilight. Breaking Dawn was like a root canal without that numbing stuff for your mouth.
I agree with you, Jennifer. In sixth grade, it took me three months to finish Breaking Dawn, and i couldnt even finish Twilight. I don't think that I'll bother actually finishing any of the other books. The Host was pretty good, though.
@Gabby i think I'll get around to reading The Host, but I need time to forget how irritating Twilight was.
Twilight. I hate the books and the movies. *blaaahhh exaggerated gagging* hahaah
Jennifer wrote: "@Gabby i think I'll get around to reading The Host, but I need time to forget how irritating Twilight was."It took a year after I finished one of Stpehenie's books that I decided that it was enough time for The Host. There are times that I see some Bella in Wanda and put the book down for a while.
@Gabby,I'll remember that when I pick The Host up.I don't mind a character finding their perfect match/soul mate/etc. I don't mind that the main character needs their other half to help them with their quest or whatever. It's when The main character becomes defined by the relationship. When they lose who they are without that other person- when they become a shell of what they were. Then I lose interest. I don't care anymore.
But that's just me.
What do you have against Maximum Ride??
There wasn't any real meaning, and the characters weren't compelling enough. Sure, the story was ok and the concept was cool, but James Patterson could've made it a little more interesting.
I just hate thatThey fight all the time and it's just a bad book to me I'd much rather read a nacy drew
It started out so well, I was in love with Mica, but then it took a complete 180. Sheer disappointment.
I know right!? Evan totally changed by the end. I mean this guy's entire family is in the criminal business and suddenly they're ALL willing to change for this one girl? And this isn't just your typical thieves or robbers, no these guys are like big time. this book was so out of proportion. It was painful reading it from the point Annalissa found out about him.
Well, lets see...
Matched ( horrible series, wish I never read it )
Allegent, 3rd book of Divergent ( The whole series was amazing, but the last book ruined it)
Before I fall
Fated by Alyson Noel ( her books are good but I have no idea what happened to her in this book)
Thats all I can remember...
How Can You Guys HATE Twilight????!!!! :'(
Sure, Bella was a horrible character but other than that everything was fine.

@ Maria, for me personally, I hate it when a character in a book is defined by the relationship with another character. I love it when the relationship adds depth to the characters, but when the character is so dependant on another person to exist it bugs me.
That's how twilight was for me.
Oh and I disliked how the author tried to make vampires good, in my book, anything that sucks the life out of another being to survive, is evil.
Hope that all made sense...

@Alyssa
I have NEVER thought of it that way! Thanks! :-)
I have notice that all the other books about vampires, the vampires are EVIL but twilight doesn't. Hmm....

YES someone that understands me... ppl think i am taking this stuff tooo seriously when i tell them a protagonist either a guy or a gal should be an individual who has the capacity to take care of themselves instead of hiding behind the shadows of someone else for their protection.... bella is that.. she is SAD, BORING and i donno COMPLETELY INCAPABLE of making her own choices....! i mean look at the hunger games, divergent and VA for instance they are not CRAZY like bella...... i too though stephnie was trying toooooo hard to make the Cullens look good.... it was a good plot and many more ppl would have liked it if it was executed properly and made the story more upbeat with better charecters ( i love jacob though :*)

Jacob was pretty cool :) and I tottaly agree that more people would have liked twilight better if it had been executed better and had more upbeat characters.
