The Son of Sobek
question
Couldn't Have Happened!

In the Son of Sobek, Percy makes a reference about "escaping though the doors of death", which he would not know about until after he was kidnapped and memory-wiped by Hera. Another reference shows that this didn't happen AFTER the Giant War. Percy did not go back to Camp Half-blood after the Lost Hero. In fact, we don't even know if there will be a Camp Half Blood after the war is over. So if Percy and Carter's encounter didn't happen BEFORE the Heroes Olympus, or DURING, or AFTER, then when did it happen?
I think this is an accidental spoiler, showing that The Son of Sobek takes place after The Blood of Olympus, and therefore reveals that Camp Half-Blood is not razed to the ground, and that Percy survives. If this speculation is correct, then it also precludes the possibility of a Carter ex machina in the final book.
Yeah.....that is possible, though I can't think why Rick Riordan could miss something like that, and spoil the end of The Blood of Olympus.
Yeah, I noticed that. I think Riordan goofed on this one. He should have made it happen before the Lost Hero.
But Son of Sobek was supposed to just be something fun, not really part of either series.

Julia: True. I wonder if he wrote a blog post about that or something.
