Aiysha (aiysha_w) | 48 comments So me I have a quite varied taste so I was wondering what everyone else thinks.

Which do you prefer?
1. Stand Alone Books
2. Trilogy
3. Series

Me first! I love series to be honest as that beans I can keep reading about the characters and the new world that I have come to love. When I read a good book...it hurts me to know that that was the end and there will be no more! If only... We lived eternally so we could read and read and read about our favourite characters forever! Now that is my bookish dream! ;)

How about you? Please share your thoughts!

But if you had to choose one? :)

Martha (tilla) | 18 comments I think, if I *have* to choose, series. I am totally hooked on Stirling's novels of the Change, Lynch's Gentlemen Bastards books and Matin's Song of Ice & Fire series.

Susan | 11 comments I have read them all but I think I like Stand Alone Books best. I like having the ending right in the same book and just because I like book 1 of something don't mean book 2 or 3 or more will be just as interesting and I would like it. (Although I haven't come across this). I will tell you though, I have come across some books that are a series and the author does not make it clear which is next which drives me nuts. (At least put a blurb at the very end which book is next). I hate having to search for what order books are written in.

Yes sometimes stand alones are best but when I get attached to the character and feel the author could develop them then I hate it when they keep it as a stand alone!

Yes! Sometimes I read a book, after thoroughly enjoying Book 1 I'm there, in anticipation waiting for the next however (This has happened to me a couple of times) when it comes out, it wasn't all that and I'd rather the author hadn't written it.

On one occasion I loved this series so much, Book 1 and Book 2 were getting better and better and then it killed me with the ending! I hated the ending so much and it just spoilt the whole series for me.

Same here! It get's so confusing to look for the order I think they should have an order list inside the first few pages or something or with the blurb as you said.
