Katie could feel the wind she was creating blowing from behind her. She warmed the air slightly. The chilly winter air was getting to her. She knew something wasn't right out there, but she couldn't tell what it was exactly.
Bek watched the girl from a tree. Not many people were willing to wander in these parts, because of the strange rumors. Bek knew; she had made sure of it. So when a new girl wandered into the wooded area, surrounded by a ghostly wind, Bek was extremely curious. After a moment, she jumped from the tree, landing silently behind the visitor. "Hello," she said softly, her cat eyes glittering with mischief.
Katie turned at the sound of someone's voice. She knew what she was thinking. Why on earth would someone be in these parts? Well, of course, these questions could be asked of her too. "What are you doing here?"
Ann hid her self in the bushes, her electric blue eyes glowing with power, she kept herself quiet, bending time itself almost making her invisable, the only thing exposing herself were her eyes. Ann took a side step to get a better look at the girls who were talking.
"I could ask you the same question. Haven't you heard how dangerous it is here? Haven't you heard of the monster that haunts these parts?" Bek asked, watching the girl carefully. Grinning wickedly, she pulled her dark hair behind her ear, revealing a sharply pointed ear.
((Sassy, don't forget to go and add your character to the Fantasy RP characters topic))
"Haven't you heard that the monsters here aren't always the worst things around?" Katie questioned as she called a small ball of fire to her right hand. The tree behind the girl ahead of her began to grow rapidly, allowing the branches the come up behind her, almost surrounding her.
With the upper hand now if anything turned nasty, Kaite added, "My name's Katie. And who are you exactly?"
Bek grinned. She loved a good challenge. In a blinding fast movement, she pounced into a nearby tree, one that was of a safe and normal size. "My name is Rebeka, but I'm more commonly known as Bek."
Ann gasped at the girls' powers, she hadn't seen anyone who could do anything special before, she was almost ready to reveal herself. Almost.((click the 'some html...' that tells you))
Katie heard the voice of another person nearby. Really, it was only her thoughts, but even thoughts were not safe near her. "You do realize that nothing you do can surprise me," Kaite said calmly to Bek. Katie slightly lifted her hand and caused the tree branches to wrap around Bek's shoulders. She knew Bek wanted a challenge, but the truth wa, Bek seemed to be no challenge for her. Katie could predict Bek's every move. "I guess you also do not realize that we aren't the only ones out here. I heard someone in that tree.
Ann realized the girl controlling the trees was talking about her. How did she know? I was hidden, invisable. . . She thought to herself.
Bek struggled in vain against the tree. How did Katie know that I'm right here? I thought for certain she couldn't pinpoint where my voice was coming from... She knew when she was defeated, and though she was loathe to admit it, Katie had defeated her. She sighed. "You say that nothing I do can surprise you? So tell me, what would I do right now, if I wasn't hampered by this tree?" Bek was listening in the direction that Katie had indicated, where she had heard someone. When she focused enough, she could hear the sound of soft breathing, as if the person taking in oxygen was trying to be as quiet about it as possible.
Ann saw Bek looking straight at her, she shrunk down, closing her bright electric blue eyes. Cant let them see me. Ann tried to keep her breathing from being to loud and trying to take as little breaths as possible.
Bek grinned, as the sound of breathing became more erratic, while the person tried even harder to hide it. Katie was right; someone else was out there. The question was, who was it, and why were they there to begin with? Then again, Bek had to wonder what Katie was doing there.
Ann realized her heart beat was getting out of control. She took a deep breath trying to calm herself, but then realized that she was breathing to loud again. Eeep! Keep calm, keep quiet. Ann warned herself.
Bek cursed silently. If only Katie didn't have her in this stupid tree wrap, then she'd be able to get down there and find out what was going on. Bek was used to being alone, not to having any one person - let alone two - show up around her. People were too afraid of her strange, feline looks.
The vines around the girl starring at her looked a little uncomfortable, Ann would like to help, but she didn't want to leave the spot where she was at. But maybe, I can manipulate the vines, make them disappear for a quick second . . . She thought. Her invisable hand reached out from the leaves, with a swift movement of her wrist, the vines began to flicker, they were there on second but gone the next. Run, get away! I cant hold their're disappearence for long! But just as she finished that thought, the vines appeared again. Ann wasn't sure if the girl had escaped or not.
Amazingly enough, Bek felt the tree loosen its hold on her. Seizing her chance, she jumped - straight to the spot where the breathing was. She landed on something solid. Grinning, she pinned the invisible human to the ground. "Why, what have we hear?" she asked.
Ann loosing her concentration on the reality bend for her, turned visable. She clentched her teeth, holding back the pain she felt from being used as a cusion."Someone whos not a pillow!" Ann screeched.
Bek laughed. "Well, you certainly felt like one, at least until you started thrashing." She sighed, sadly and dramatically this time. "It's a pity, really. I could have used a nice nap."
This girl has spunk, Bek thought, chuckling. I like her. "Um, no thanks. I've found that that is not really comfortable."
"Fine then, if you went let me go, I'll do it myself!" Ann opened her eyes, she focused on the spot infront of her, picturering herself sitting there instead of under Bek's feet. Ann closed her eyes again, she felt herself melt away with reality then solid again. Once Ann opened her eyes again, she was a few feet away from Bek.
Bek spun around, shocked. "How did you do that?" While she was used to having superspeed, and superhearing, and supersight, she was not used to people rematerializing only a few feet away from her. Especially when they had been directly under her! Okay, these girls are a little too much for me. First moving trees, and then invisibility, and now this!
"Er sorry, I'm not really sure how I did it, except I just knew I didn't want to be under your feet. Iv heard some rumors with what I could do and what its called, but they would always shun me away. I-I could never get a complete answer. Again, Im sry if I spooked you." Ann apoligized.
Bek took a step back. "Why are you apologizing to me? I was the one who was on top of you, remember?"((I wonder what Katie would do right now? I almost feel bad, without Aly here to rp her. Oh well, this is fun!))
Bek laughed, holding up her hands. "Whoa, just because I said that you shouldn't be the one apologizing, does not mean that you'll hear any from me. I don't do apologies."
Ann groaned, "My personal buisness has nothing to do with you!" She focused on the spot right in front of Bek, within a second she materialized there."Now dont push me!" She hissed.
Ann gritted her teeeth, closing her eyes, yes she was small, but being called little was bugging her."I will," She disappeared again and sat on a rock a few feet behind her, "Ill test my powers on you!"
Bek laughed outright. She moved, disappearing into another tree. "Ah, but can you catch me?" While the other girl could disappear and reappear at will, Bek could run fast enough to seem as though she were doing the same. "You see, you may think that I'm righ there, when really..." she paused, leaping to the high branches of a tree across the clearing. "...over here."
Ann gasped, even with what she could do, running and jumping were never her specialties. Ann closed her eyes focusing on where the voices spot was then appeared by Bek again. "Hmm, if you're going to run, try to keep your sound as quiet as possible, or I'll just be able to catch up to you."
Bek smirked. "Okay." She was enjoying this little game. Utterly silent, she took off, as nimble and as silent as a cat. She hoped the other girl would at least try to catch her - this was getting to be very entertaining to Bek. I don't even know her name... she thought, as she ran.
Ann closed her eyes, trying to listen to any bit of sound, no voice, but she could hear the faint sound of a heart beat, Beks. Found you She thought. And with that Ann was by Bek."You may want to stop your heart from beating too."
"I don't think I'll give that a try for quite a while. But thanks for the advice, I'll keep it in mind!" Bek had a feeling that while this girl could catch up to her, she may not be able to do it over, and over, and over again. Eventually, she would tire of Bek's little game. Bek, however, would not stop until she had thoroughly entertained herself. With a small wave, she ran again, this time not bothering to keep quiet, simply running.
Ann rolled her eyes, "Ur not making it fun now! I like a challenge!" She disappeared then materialized by Bek once more."Before we continue this game, "whats your name?"
"Rebeka is the name my ridiculous mother gave me, but I would appreciate to be called Bek instead. So, what are you doing here, in my woods?"
"Ah ok then Bek, I like it." Ann paused trying to figure out if she should lie or tell the truth, may as well tell the truth."I dont have a place to live, so I wander around, tonight I came up here."
