The Last Airbender { Rp } discussion

Rin searched her small garden for any more fully grown herbs that she might have missed. Satisfied, she went back inside to create more medicines for the wounded and the ill. She was grateful to her aunt and uncle for allowing her to come here to advance further in the healing arts. She wished she didn't have to go back home to Chin Village during the summer to study in martial arts with her aunt and uncle, but that was the deal she had made with them. She always honored her word. Rin smiled wistfully as she ground some rosemary into a fine powder. She DID miss her relatives. She couldn't wait to see them again, especially her cousin.

Niall had been walking for days. She looking for a village to settle down in for the night. Finally she see a town just a couple miles ahead that might be good. She picks up her pace and heads there.

Rin was done grounding the herbs she collected into powder and began to mix the powders with usually harmful liquids which would be rendered harmless and actually helpful when in contact with these herbs.

Finally making to the town Niall walked over to the nearest inn.

Rin realized that she needed more herbs. The Red Dragon had those herbs. More specifically, the innkeeper's wife had the herbs she needed. She stood up, dusted herself off, and headed towards the town.

"Excuse me sir" Niall said , the man ignored her " excuse me sir"! Niall yelled this time not liking being ignored. The man put down his papers and reluctantly looked at Niall. "Yes, ma'am" he said in mock politeness. "I need a room for the night please" Niall told him.

Rin walked into the inn. She looked around for the innkeeper and saw him. She walked up to him and overheard a girl say that she needed a room for the night. Rin had a a bad feeling that the innkeeper would refuse, so she told the innkeeper, "Excuse me, sir, but do you know where your wife is at the moment? I require some herbs for her. And if you don't give this girl one of your best rooms, then I will stop making medicine for your inn, and you'll have to look for medicine elsewhere. There are very few people who make medicines and give them away for free."

Niall looked at this girl in shock. Who is she? And she's knows this rude man. Niall looked at the man with a smirk on her face and an outstretched hand waiting patently for the key for her soon-to be room

Rin glared at the innkeeper. Rin was well known and respected in this village for everything she'd done for the wounded and the ill. If this man wanted to stay in business, then he would need Rin to make medicine for the wounded and ill, to provide the best inn.

Niall looked at the girl glaring at the man suspiciously. Does she not like him too? No matter. "We'll old man are you gonna give me the key or not you don't want this nice girl to stop making medicine for you , do ya"?

The innkeeper scowled as he handed the keys over to the girl. He told Rin, "Rin, my wife is over there." He pointed to the kitchens.

"Hey wait" Niall called out to the girl" thanks by the way I don't think that old geezer would of given me the key if you had not shown up"

Rin smiled. "It's my pleasure. I'm Rin, by the way. What's your name?"

"I'm Niall, sooo you make medicine"?

Rin nodded. "Yes. I train in both the healing and martial arts. I live at the abbey during fall, winter, and spring, and in the summer I return home. What about you?"

"Oh just wandering"

Rin nodded. "You can stay at the abbey, if you'd like."

"Really" Niall said " I would absolutely love that'

Rin smiled kindly. "First I should go get some more herbs."

"Yea sure" Niall trailed behind slightly confused of what to din

Rin walked up to the innkeeper's wife. "Excuse me, but do you have any more of these herbs?" She handed a list to the woman, who skimmed the list and handed a bunch of jars to Rin. Rin smiled gratefully. "Thank you." Rin walked out of the inn, telling Niall, "Keep those keys, just in case."

" yea at all times" Niall agreed

Rin led Niall to the abbey and let her inside. "Welcome to the abbey. You can stay in my room."

"Really" Niall looked around at the nice room "thanks" she plopped herself on the nearest sitting thing and got comfortable

"Oh, it's nothing." Rin sat down on the floor and immediately got to work grinding the herbs into powder.

" So " Niall stood over her shoulder " whatcha doin "?

"I mm making medicine."

"How" Niall wondered she's only saw people make medicine never actually done it herself

"First I grind the herbs into powder. Then I mix the herbs with other liquids and add a few spices or other extra ingredients to create a safe medicine. Or I sometimes take plants in my garden and cut off the root and I mix liquids inside the root - if there are any - with already ground herbs and I create medicine."

"Cool" Niall liked watching her make medicine it was really simple to do but hard to do good and she liked how rin could do it good

Rin chuckled. "I wish I knew how to do this before…"

"What was that" Niall did not quite chetah what Rin said

"I said, I wish I knew how to make medicine and heal people before…"

"Yea that problely would of been good" Niall was confused at what she said but was not gonna admit it, that's her stubbornness for yea to stubborn to even admit she's confused

Rin nodded sadly. "My mother died of illness. I couldn't do a thing to help her. I was so helpless. But now I can help people."

"We'll that's .... Good" Niall decided. She hopped down from the chair "hate to be a burden but do you have any food I'm starving...., or you know what, let's go out to eat like at a restaurant " ! Niall was excited about that she loved going outgo eat

Rin smiled cheerily. "I think I might be able to help you there."

"Yay"! Niall threw on a jaket and yanked open the door waiting for Rin to follow "got any good places"?

Rin nodded happily. "It's not far."

Niall skipped down the road happily humming a lullaby she sang to a younger friend

Rin led Niall to her favorite restaurant.

"So what kind of food is here" Niall asked falling in step with Rin

"Ramen, chicken, steak, and other kinds of delicacies."

"Ramen"!!!!! Niall loved Ramon growing up in the house she did she rarely had ramen

She bounced up the steps with great anticipation

Rin counted her money. "Just enough to buy two bowls of ramen. Maybe three."

"Awesome" Niall took a look at the money it looked shiny and new

Rin noticed Niall looking at the money. "In return for my making medicine, the people of this village pay me so that I may give others charity."

Niall was not surprised to hear this " so do you bend"? Niall was curious cause she never brought it up

Rin nodded. "Yes. I am an earth bender."
