Okay, so we have a favourite characters in fiction thread, but I think us writers need to showcase some of our favourites from our own personal works of fiction. It can be a villain, a good guy, or some random not-in-the-spotlight character. I can't entirely narrow it down to one, but I can get this started....

One of my absolute favourite characters I've written is Hendelmere. Yes, he's a villain, but I find him fascinating. I mean, really. Yellow eyes? And black hair? And he's an absolute romantic at heart? He makes some pretty dumb decisions, even though he's brilliant.... He has a nasty temper, though.... But his wife Jossa is probably his greatest weakness (in a good way).

Ooh, sounds cool.

Oh great idea!!!!

I love my character Kitty. She is a lot like me, but cooler.

Oh and my character Ben. He is soo clever and kind.

And Katava. She is great cause she has the same feeling as me and the difference it that she can do something to change it all.

Now for villians... I can't lie, I like my evil guy... His "name" is Flare. And he has such auburn eyes they almost look red. He is a little crazy too.

I will confess, I can have a bit of a weakness for the villains....... Sometimes.

Awesome character, though, I'm not sure I'd classify him as a villain. There's kind of an attitude about writing that says if they aren't the "hero", then they're the villain. With Hendy, he's sometimes bad, but sometimes good. He's not a hero, but I don't think he's a villain either, at least not anymore.

Now, as for characters that I've written. Pretty much all of the ones from The Gifted. I think they're my best written characters, and the villain: Beck... Definitely the most evil guy I've ever attempted. Seriously, he's the kind that even if he isn't in the scene, and is nowhere near it, he'll still be antagonizing the heroes.

Yea Flare is the kind who is there always a few steps behind them and then pops up at random moments. And also the kind where just when you think he's gone, he's still alive.

Lol, my main character in that story, Kitty, things they are creepy and are burned into her memory.

Fair enough... He kind of straddles the fence, but when I first introduced him, he was a villain, and he always has villainous intent, even if you don't see it...

Beck... Yes... I'd never want to meet him anywhere, but beautifully written.

Another favourite of mine is Aedan. Has one eye, but is still pretty good at sneaking up on people, noticing things, and altogether being awesome. Very competitive, fearless (mostly)... And no, he's not a bad guy.

Um....well im not really good in RP because all my characters are introduced at my book in a better and more fun way....


Like mg favorite Hero is called Hannah ( in the book she's really fun) she is really good in dealing in knives. she is sarcastic, fearless and well

She's really cool and there's also Kyle whose a book geek like me and well he is technically me bug more brave and fun....


and well my favourite Villian is called Angela she is very very decieving and always has a plan in a way.......

Tobias Stone: British, and of course a villain. His inspiration lay in Charles Magnussen, the so-called Napoleon of Blackmail. Tobias, as such, has a large empire, based entirely off those he controls, those he holds through blackmail. He has gone so far as to use those assets - for this is how he addresses them - to eradicate all official traces of his existence, from database records to diary entries. His one weakness is perhaps his sadism, his habit of deriving pleasure from the pain of others, and going out of his way to cause and witness it. He learnt marksmanship and detailed human physiology in order to facilitate this. Once a canvas is incapacitated, he approaches them with his knife held ready, a smile growing in anticipation of the delights to come.

Sounds pretty awesome...

Did I mention Jethro? He's not a villain. He's... I don't know what. In one story, he is the main character, but it's a short story. Anyhow, he's the head of the king's elite, at the bane of foes (thus, my nickname) –– Fadolor, a secret fortress, which is the center of activity for the king's elite, who keep track of all the nobles in the kingdom and quell any possible treachery. He's not afraid to do anything to get the job done, and he can be a bit... vengeful. Fiercely loyal, fatherly, and tough as nails. He might be a bit full of himself....

lol.... So write him, and let him wreak havoc for a while. You can have him be the main character, then throw a monkey wrench into his life. There has to be that one person he can't seem to get at, who manages to sometimes foil his plans (not always, mind you, just sometimes) –– someone that, perhaps, he can't understand... He might seem a perfect villain, but even "perfect" villains make mistakes and get caught.

I like this topic. Writers LOVE sharing.
Gee, there are so many characters in my trilogy that I've grown very fond of. Tenny, Anna, Freddie, General Raul, Captain Red, and of course King Joshua. Picking a favorite would be impossible. But I really, really had a lot of fun with Captain Red! He is...a man of many facets. An explorer, a bit cocky and rough around the edges, but you just gotta love him. :)

My favorite characters are ones that allow great sarcasm in the inner monologue. Like my male protagonist for last year's nanow: Colt. Here's a quote.

"Convincing mom I needed to go the party was easier than I had first thought.

"What's that, son?" she said. "Teenage debauchery in the middle of nowhere? Can I come too?"

Okay, she didn't really say that."

I don't have many favorites. I am thinking it might be Jared at the moment for his total depravity.

Here's a favourite...
Kedric. In both stories where I've used this name for a character, I've loved the character... and they are not the same person, nor even in the same world.
First time I wrote him, he was merely a lieutenant who was a strategist, then eventually was given charge over a province (it was complicated).
This time around, he's the head of the border patrol in one kingdom, then finds out he's the heir to the kingdom that his people fight, and... it's confusing.

Another of my favorite characters to write is the female lead from last nanow. I'm not sure how to describe her. Hopeful, faithful, smart, stubbornly happy, though she often gets treated pretty bad.

I want to do so many evil things with Jared and I am laughing so hard but I plan to break hearts.

I am quite cold. I already killed the main character's BF.

I killed off an entire escort for the king and queen... and Cole's entire tracking team (Cole is a villain, and he helped with the killing in both situations)...
