In the Heart of the Sea The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick I just read this book and found it amazingly interesting. I think its going to start a bit of a craze for me. Anyone read any shipreck/survival books?
Let me know what you think of them.

I wonder rose, slightly off topic but have you read Terry Pratchett's nation. That's about a guy who gets shipwrecked but is a captain cook parody.

No I haven't. I might have to look it up. The one I mentioned in the other post was jus fascinating. And the horror those poor men went through is just unbelievable!

Ah. Well I'd love to know any that stuck out. It was just really different to anything else is read.

Oh I'll be sure to check those out. Do you want to get into reading more non fiction again? I've never particularly read a lot of it before so I've decided to challenge myself a bit more!

Oh wow. That's a lot to get through! I like historical ones, I've been checking out the shelf in our library but it's very limited and nothing's caught my eye yet!
If you want people to read some alongside you, you could suggest a few in the group reads page? Or start your own topic about the book?
I'd love to hear more about the non fiction you've read. This is the first time really that I've begun to read nonfiction when it wasn't totally needed.
I read things for school and college but otherwise I've just read fiction... A lot of it!
