The Missing Ones discussion

Kenzi sat down in the middle of the room, carving something into the wood floors. She had been carving out her mothers name over and over, missing the woman that gave birth to her. She was scared to be alone, but had been for a while. The only people that came to visit her were the people that did bad things to her mom. The 3 year old had very vivid memories of each time her mother was hurt or when she was hurt.

Kenzi finally stopped carving into the floors, and sat back running her hands over the carving. The little girl knew her mother had no idea who she was, but Kenzi didn't blame her mother, she blamed the people that hurt her. We will meet again Momma Kenzi thought, as the faces of the people came into her mind. The auburn haired child was one of the few who knew what all of the bad people's faces looked like.

After sitting in silence for around an hour, Kenzi began singing to herself. The song had been used to sooth her since infancy, her mother having sang it to her many times over.

*Thu-Thunk!*

Nevil would clatter to the floor as the trap door would close behind her. She would groan in pain, she would then look around the wooden cage-like room.

Kenzi looked over at Nevae, moving away from the older female. The child was not used to many people, apart from her mother and the bad people. She searched her memories, not recognizing the new female.

Looking at the girl, Nevae would look at Kenzi with a scratched face. She couldn't hear the girl scooting the away, since she was deaf in her left ear. Nevae would smile slightly.

"Hi." She would say.

Kenzi frowned a little at the scratched face "Are you okay?" The auburn haired child asked, her voice remarkably adult like.

((What am I supposed to do?))

((Kenzi knows all about the plans, and they are trying to make her promise never to talk about it))

The door of the only entrance and exit to the room opened. Two people came in with their guns up and checked to see what was going on.

((How does she know?))

((She has an eidetic memory, and when the people were hurting her mother she heard them say things about the plan))

Kenzi looked up, to see who had entered the room. Her blue eyes went wide with fear, she knew who each of them was and what they were capable of doing.

"No i'm-"

Nevil would look up and gets to her feet quickly. She would observe the two guards.

"Oh, let me guess. You put in the wrong fucking box again." She growls.

One of the men held a gun at the girl who talked back to them. "Boss, this one needs some temper adjustment." A figure appeared in the doorway. His face concealed by a white mask. It was a plain mask, but a little too creepy. The air was still as he walked in, one step at a time, as if he was taking his time to get to his destination. Soon he reached the girl. "We're not here for you." He turned to the other girl. "Hello." He said. "What's your name?" He asked, taking slow steps to her.

Along her sides, she would clench her fist. But, she didn't react to the masked man in any way. She would only take a small step to the side. But, she was eyeing one of the guard's guns.

Kenzi moved away, towards one of the corners. She didn't like any of the people, they hurt her mom. The auburn haired child knew she should do as they say, but her voice didn't want to come right now.

((Is her mother alive?))

((Yeah, its Rosemary in another room))

The masked man sighed. "Fine. The mute kind, are you? It doesn't matter. Now what was your name again? Oh, yes. Kenzi." He smiled, even though no one could see it, he was enjoying the moment.

Kenzi nodded a little "I can talk" She told him, her strangely adult like once again.

((Also the bad people erased her mother's memories of her))

((Okay))

"Yes, I can see that. I'm glad you decided to talk on your own. If you hadn't done that, well let's just say violence would have been involved." His waved his hand in the direction of the two men. One was walking around on patrol in the room, the other was guarding the door.

Kenzi frowned lightly, knowing he wasn't lying. "I wanna see Momma" She said, a little of her mothers personality coming out. Despite having not seeing her mother, Kenzi still shared a few personality traits with her mother.

"Well, aren't you sweet?" He tilted his head to the side. "You want to see your mommy? Well, how about we make a trade. You have something important to me. And I have something important to you. So, what do you think?"

Kenzi didn't trust the trade, but figured that it wouldn't hurt to find out what it is "I don't have nothing of yours" She said, blinking a little.

"Yes, you do. I know about you. Quite a smart little girl." He patted her head. "Your smartness will lead to your grief here, that is if you can't control your mouth." He lowered and whispered into her ear. "You have heard something you shouldn't have. Right? Long ago." He smirked. "Do you know what it is now? If the answer it yes, nod your head."

Kenzi's eyes widened slightly, giving a little nod. She couldn't lie, she had heard them talking about why all of them were here.

"Ah, yes. Do you remember now? So, how about it? You keep your mouth shut or we kill your mother. I can reassure you that she's alive. Completely. She's just in a different room." He said.

Kenzi felt a little hope, knowing her mother was still alive. "I want to see her, or I will tell everything I know" Kenzi stood up to them, the same thing that her mother often did. The young girl was unsure where this bravery came from, normally she was terrified of these people, especially of Kai.

"Ah...even if you tell, you'll be telling lies. Our plans and goals have changed. But, it would be quite dangerous to let our previous plans loose. But, very well. I'll show her to you and you don't say anything about our secrets and plans." He said.

Kenzi nodded, just wanting to see her mother. She didn't know her mother had no idea who she was.

"Very well. But, know this. If you're lying or you break your promise, there will be consequences." He warned her. "Shall we go then?" He said. 'This is going smoothly.' He thought.

((Which room?))

Kenzi gave another nod "I won't tell no one" She promised, before standing up ready to see her mother again.

The masked man stood up and patted the dust off his knees. He walked out the door. The two men followed him. As they left, they were replaced by two more so they could guard the doors of the room.

Kenzi stayed close to the masked man "Your name is Kai right?" She asked him, as they walked.

He smirked. "If that's what you think." They soon reached the door to Room Four. "Well then, after you." He stood behind her.

((To Room 4?))

After Kai brought her back, Kenzi moved away from him. She sat in the corner sobbing, she couldn't believe her mother forgot about her. I hate them! All of them The child thought.

Nevil was rather stumped when the little girl started weeping in the corner. But, she kept her space. She knew that she would only make matters worse.

Kenzi eventually stopped crying, and looked at Nevil. "I'm sorry" She said, wiping away her tears. She hadn't meant to be so loud or to draw attention to herself.

Teigan was pushed into the room, she looked around "um, hi?" she whispered and walked into the middle of the room to look at everyone.

Kenzi looked up at Teigan, again not knowing who this person was. "Hello" The 3 year old said, her voice not childlike as it should be, but more adult like. Her cheeks were still red from crying, but no more tears were falling.

Teigan looked at the little girl, she bent down and smiled slightly at her "Hi there, im Teigan" she held her hand out to her.

Kenzi took her hand, smiling at Teigan "I'm Kenzi" The child replied, shaking Teigan's hand.

Teigan smiled, she had always loved children "It's nice to meet you Kenzi" she nodded and looked at the little girl with a warm smile "how old are are you?"

Kenzi thought about it, she didn't know exactly but she did remember someone mentioning 3 or 4. "3, but I can't be sure" She answered after a minute.

Teigan nodded and smiled at her "your so big!" she smiled brightly then looked around "do you know where we are?"

Kenzi froze, she couldn't tell the older girl about the things she knew. She knew all about this place, after a few minutes Kenzi shook her head not trusting her voice.

Teigan nodded and sat down next to the girl "well this is odd, do people come in here a lot?" she asked Kenzi and smiled warmly at her.

Kenzi gave a small shrug "Sometimes" She answered, looking at Teigan.

Teigan nodded "what do you do when they come in?" she looked at her and smiled softly.
