So I finished reading "Hideout". It was another book recommended by my daughter. It is the story of a group of kids hiding a large Doberman at summer camps. It was pretty amusing. I liked it. So I moved on to Unthinkable.

Finished Book 4 of the Walt Longmire series, "Another Man's Moccasins" by Craig Johnson.

Now reading "When I Found You" by Catherine Ryan Hyde, a story about a fathers love of his family.

"When Nathan McCann discovers a newborn baby boy half buried in the woods, he assumes he's found a tiny dead body. But then the baby moves and in one remarkable moment, Nathan's life is changed forever. The baby is sent to grow up with his grandmother, but Nathan can't forget him and is compelled to pay her a visit. This is a well-written Amish novel. The characters are well-developed, and I enjoyed the story line.

So I finished reading the 2nd book of a trilogy I started a while ago, "Unthinkable". The book is a great fantasy read. The characters are interesting and the interaction between the human and the fairy world was interesting to see. I would not have been able to make some of the choices the protagonist made but they worked in her favor. Well written book. I'm now reading my N book "Nickeled and Dimed" about poverty in working class America. So far it is interesting.

Just finished a book about UFO's and the recovery of one at Aztec, NM in 1948. It was interesting. The authors did their research and had documentation. Proofreading could have been better but the story was fascinating. The book is The Aztec Incident: Recovery at Hart Canyon by Scott and Suzanne Ramsey.

I just finished "Nickel and Dimed" about whether or not it is possible to live on the wages paid to the lowest paid employees in America. Very eye-opening and heartbreaking at the same time. Sad to think that many hard working people busting their butts can't afford normal apartments and live in hotels, van, and cars. Very sad. We need to wake up to what is happening around us. Now I'm reading my author whose name starts with N - Sterling North's "The Wolfing".

Now reading "Prodigy" by Marie Lu, Book 2 of the "Legend" trilogy.

It took me a while to get into this story, but then it eventually hooked me. I really enjoyed the character development in this historical Christian novel set in old Ireland.

So I finished "The Wolfing" by Sterling North today. I love reading historical fiction and this was really good. I find it fascinating to see how much our country has changed. Also look books about wolves. Excellent read.

It took me even longer to get into this plot than that of the first novel of the trilogy, but then it eventually hooked me too, and I ended up liking it even better than Maire. I really enjoyed the character development in this historical Christian novel set in old Ireland.

I'll be reading Prodigy and I read The Divide. I enjoyed it and I think there is an environmental side story in it, if it's the one I'm thinking about. I like Nicholas Evans books.

Of the trilogy, this one was my favorite. Unlike the first two, it grabbed my interest immediately. It is written very well, and I really enjoyed the character development in this historical Christian novel set in old Ireland.

This is a well-written novella. It is interesting, but I didn't care for the story that much.

This was a sweet string of vignettes about a group of people in a small town in Georgia. Not a real plot, just a view into some funny people and some odd elements of life's happenings. It is written well enough. Overall, I liked it because of the characters.

I truly enjoyed this one. I feel that Jerry Eicher has become so much more experienced as an author. The first few books I read by him were a little dry and strange, but the books I've read by him in 2012, 2013, and this year were much better. This novel was well-written and entertaining. I enjoyed the changes in the characters as well and look forward to reading more of this series.

I finished two books today. The first was Mansfield Park by Jane Austen. I love Austen and this is one that I liked immensely. I found Fanny to be one of the more likable Austen heroines. I wished some other characters would have had Fanny's sense of people earlier.

I also finished "Thea Stilton and the Dragon's Code", again on the advise of my daughter. It was a clever little mystery for young readers. I enjoyed it. Very quick, fun read.

Now I am reading "Thou Dear God, the prayers of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr" which I won on a Goodreads contest. Can't wait to read it. Intro already has me intrigued.

I couldn't finish Mansfield Park..it felt so slow. I thought the movie was better. Glad you liked it though.

Finished "Joyland" by Stephan King - 5/5 stars, another King classic for me!

Now reading "Nothing But Blue Skies" by Thomas McGuane and the writer that got me interested in reading short stories.

Hi Sheila. As you I loved it! I requested the 3rd book in the trilogy but there 12 requests/holds ahead of me. Another series I'll start soon is the "Divergent" series.

A guy at work just finished Divergent. He enjoyed it. Said the second book is not as good.

Just finished a magnificent book, Endymion Spring by Matthew Skelton. A boy finds a blank book at St. Jerome's Library in Oxford. No one can read it but him. Can it be The Last Book that will give all knowledge and power to its owner? There is some history in it about Johann Gutenberg and his printing press. It was so easy to slip into this story and stay there. I'd say it is for 10 and up.
