Encouraging Words
This is one of my all time favorite verses: "Casting all your care upon Him, for he careth for you."
1 Peter 5:7
Since I tend to worry a lot and be anxious for no paticular reason, this verse has been an encouragement to me. :)
Wow!! That is awesome Leah!! Me too actually, I have baad anxiety issues. Lol. That's really cool!! Thanku!(;
Also, Jerimiah 28:11-13"God's plans are for you to prosper, to provide you a hope and a future."
Actually funny story behind this verse. We have a shower curtain that has bible verses on it. I was helping my little brother take a shower (about 2 or 3 years ago) and I made up tunes to the verses on the shower curtain and sang them to him.
That verse was on the shower curtain and I made up a really catchy tune to it. :) That is the only tune I remember and my little brother and I still sing it. :)
But I never understood how that short verse could be three verses long! I never looked it up in the bible (don't know why) but I just let it puzzle me. :) So whenever I hear that verse my mind immediately sings it and I am still confused about the reference! :)
Hahaha(; That is awesome!!! Way to memorize the verse too!! Haha(; Thanks for sharing the story!! I know right, I can't believe it is three verses too, it doesn't seem that long(; Lol
Leah, you should look up the reference to find out. I bet they shortened and modified it for the shower curtain. ;)
To never give up..even during rough times. Call out to Him! And fll to His feet and tell Him you are weary. And He will give you strength.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up. James 4:10But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 1Peter 3:4
Thou art more than welcome, friend Tina! God bless thee and make His face to shine upon thee now and ever!~Timothy
2 Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

Now imagine that God is the bow and we are the arrow...it's a very uplifting thought...for me anyways :)
Me too!I feel this is my word for the day.God bless...For me,Romans 8:28 has encouraged me tremendously!It says''All things work together for good for them that love God''.
This verse goes to all Gods children who are facing challenges right now.Never forget what this verse is saying-God knows what's best for you,no matter what you're going through!!
Salma wrote: "Me too!I feel this is my word for the day.God bless...For me,Romans 8:28 has encouraged me tremendously!It says''All things work together for good for them that love God''.
This verse goes to all..."
Amen.
I've always found this saying very helpful and encouraging. "There is always hope, sometimes you just have to look for it."
I love this verse from the book of Proverbs, reminding us how important kind and sweet words are: "Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." Proverbs 16:24
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid." - John 14:27
I was looking for a title for a playlist I was making on my phone. It's 48 songs that help with anxiety and stuff, so I looked up Bible verses about anxiety and that was one of the ones I found and really liked.
Ohh!!! That's so terrific, cause seriously, anxiety is a close friend of mine :/ Aw, that's so cool :D A really good one for sure ;D
I love these verses from Psalm 107:28-30 because it reminds us that even though God allows storms in our lives to test our faith, he doesn't just leave us there alone. He's always walking with us, and he is our safe haven. In my New King's James Version, the verses go like this: Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses. He calms the storm, so that it's waves are still. Then they are glad because they are quiet, so He guides them to their desired haven.
Jesus loves you!!

Wow Mary-Kate :) God has sure given you the gift of writing. I never realized that this psalm was connected with Jesus's crucifixion until recently. In verse one, where it says, My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? It shows us that Jesus had taken on all of our sins, past, present, and future, upon Himself on the cross. It also shows that Jesus is able to relate to all of our weaknesses and temptations (though he never sinned) because he chose to love us with His amazing love! Jesus is not distant, he's close!
Friday Evening Encouragement

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1
Thanks Urs. That's a reminder that even an experienced christian needs from time to time. We should not be fearful.1 John 4: 4- Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

You're most welcome! I'm glad you saw it. I had become so bad with regular devotions, because of craziness in my work life, but I do know how important it is to be encouraging to one another, and told myself to get my butt on over here and get to work with that! :) I am glad you saw this, and told me so. Hope you have a great weekend!
I know what you mean. We have it in mind to update and such but life just seem to get in the way. That is true, you never know how mush just a few words of encouragement can help someone, christian or not. No problem. Thank you and the same to you :)

Lee-lette wrote: "What an assuring scripture. Do you know the hymn to that scripture?"Yes, it is! :D
I think there are a few of them, but I don't know them by heart.
:)There's one that they sing a lot at my church.
It was nice talking an sharing with you Urs, but I have to go. Enjoy the rest of your day and remember:
'For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.' (2 Timothy 1:7)

It was nice talking and sharing with you, too, Sweetie! Thank you for that Scripture! *warm heart*
Blessings! :D

I'll start
John 3:16- For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life!
Now that is my encouragement!! Please share friends(;
