Have you read any of his other books? Do you want to now that you read this? Do you have any interesting anecdotes about him?

John Green has been popular with book clubs lately. The Fault in Our Stars has been a popular selection for adults and young adults alike and there is a movie coming out of it soon. I thought it might be interesting to try another one of his books and Paper Towns seemed like a good place to start.

Also, my wife is reading An Abundance of Katherines for one of her books clubs, so I am giving that one a shot as well.

I have ready both The Fault in Our Stars and Looking for Alaska as well and I feel like you know what you are going to get from John Green. So, if you like Paper Towns you will either like his other books are be frustrated that they follow a similar formula.

An interesting fact: while this is not why I chose this book, John Green resides in Indianapolis, Indiana which is just north of where I live.

If you do read any others - I did like Looking for Alaska probably more than The Fault in Our Stars, but really, the more of his I read I realize it feels like if you have read one you have basically read them all!

I can't agree with you there. I love his books, and having teens myself feel like he is very in tune with them. I have to cringe when I think of what the kids in Alaska were doing, but still...pretty spot on.

Plus, anything I can really share with my children (and their friends) I gotta love.

Looking for Alaska is my favorite of his so far, An Abundance of Katherines my least.

I think at the time I wrote this I was in John Green overload. I read An Abundance of Katherines right after Paper Towns and they had a somewhat similar road trip plot.

A couple of months later I read Will Grayson, Will Grayson an I enjoyed that one. And, as John Green releases more books, I am sure that I will read them!

Kandice | 944 comments There are writers I don't love but still read everything they write. Sometimes the certainty of knowing you will be satisfied is better than the chance that you will be blown away! ;)
