The Shivering Sands by Victoria Holt
I just finished: 
It was a really good read, super fast paced. I loved the entire novel. The plot kept me guessing and the character's interactions with the enemies made me gasp.
There is no sexual content but there is plenty of violence!
April Henry is really down to earth, I met her at an author signing, and her writing style shows it. She just released a new novel and I cannot wait to get my hands on it. This is the first book of hers I have read, but I will definitely be reading more!
