This is the first book I have read by Tracey Ward. I feel like I should be getting tired of the whole Zombie theme but each book I pick up has a different view on how Zombie’s come to be and how survival mode is kicked in/approached. Joss the main lead is a survivor. She makes herself strong and has taught herself many things. You think that she is truly alone in the world but she does have that odd person she goes to when things get really tough. Her reasoning is justified 100% and just like any human being. When the right person come along and presses that button we all hate, she slowly starts to warm up her heart that she made turn to ice on her own.

I have rated this book a star below the first two installments for a single fact alone… it is not enough. The new world is very complex and rather stunning. S. M. McEachern has a way with her words that bring the new world before your eyes and still keep the character development moving forward.
