Movies You Saw Once But Never Want to See Again
Just too damn sad--Mystic River--Sleepers-- Too damn stupid--High Tenson--Shaun of the Dead-- Bloody for no reason--Any and all things ROB Zombie
Oh, hell, how could I forget The Curious Case of Benjamin Button? I don't ever want to be that sad at the end of a movie again. And In the Company of Men. That movie is bru-tal.
Benjamin Button was great, not sad enough to stop watching though. One I don't want to see again because it's too damn slow was 7lbs. Hurry it up already!
How about Borat? That was 2 hours of my life that I want back. Needless to say I will NOT be seeing Bruno.Any of Adam Sandlers latest movies...especially Zohan.
I'm always sad when Sandler has a bad movie because he's so likable. Can't stand that Borat/Bruno. I can say with certainty that I will NEVER waste my time on one of his movies.
Well, at least I can't say I wasted money on Borat, as I got it from the library, but it was utterly useless honestly. I love Sandler. Especially 50 First Dates, Big Daddy, Mr. Deeds, those was great. But Zohan was...ugh.
Borat- we had to put up with him in the UK, in Da Ali G show, where he was pretending to be a half-caste DJ or something in da rap biz. All the critics raved about him. I thought it was pure crap. So I didn't go near Borat, and I won't be watching Bruno.
Annoying humor like Boreat is just that--annoying. Not a big fan of tricking regular people into appearing on screen and then mocking them for the world to see.
There is a scene where him and the fat one are naked and wrestling. Their fighting with each other, but it's one of the nastiest scenes I've ever seen. Ali G was awful as well. And no, you're not missing much with Zohan. It's mainly about sex.
I love comedies honestly...but a lot of the ones that are supposed to be funny now a days are just stupid humor.
Here are the stupid comedies I never want to see a second time:American Pie (too stupid for words)
Pineapple Express
Baghead (sucked)
This one is too depressing:
Ice Storm
Too odd and boring:
Birth
I love The Ice Storm and have watched it a few times, but yeah, American Pie was awful. I don't understand why even "reliable" sources consider it a good film.
I am a dumber person for watching American Pie... I think my IQ actually dropped as a punishment for thinking it might be funny.
All those A-Ps were STUPID!! Just as dumb were the Van Wilder movies.Oh and those Harold & Kumar so called movies.
Lori, I knew better than to watch Van Wilder and Harold & Kumar. What happened to actual funny comedies like Mel Brooks and the Pink Panther movies? Or maybe I'm just showing my age. I laughed my head off at those movies and I cherish the memories of my family sitting around watching them together. I'm uncomfortable watching the disgusting humor of the AP movies with my husband sitting in the same room! Hollywood's comedies are pure junk these days. I think the last comedy I laughed at was 50 First Dates.I don't know what would be going through a young actor's mind to think it would be a good career movie to hump an apple pie. That's not funny AT ALL.
We checked Zohan out of the library, it was stoopid, foul, disgusting and dumb as hell. But, the kids cackled like hens through the whole thing. really has me worried now!
I refuse to watch the new remakes of the Pink Panther movies, because I don't want to ruin the originals. I remember watching the originals with my mother and laughing my head off. I worry about the new ones... They ruined so many characters by remaking them...Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc.
To be honest, I don't really find Mel Brooks that funny any more. His stuff was great when I was 12, 13 years old...I also didn't find the original Pink Panther funny. The only part I laughed was when the "horse" started drinking out of the punch bowl and got chastised.
Scott, I haven't seen Mel Brooks' or the Pink Panther movies in a long time; not sure how they would hold up for me. I just know that I'm grateful that I had them to share with my family as a kid.My dad and I would crack up when Clouseau would hone his martial arts skills by ambushing his Asian house worker (don't remember exactly what he did for Clouseau).
I'm thinking my son will love all these movies when he's a little older.
I get enough laughs from the horror movies I watch. I don't bother watching movies that are intended to be actual "comedies," because they are much less funny (if funny at all) than most horror movies.
Tressa, your right i didn't watch them either the perview said it all.I loved the old TMNT the new one was soso, and who can forget Blazing Saddles Mel at his best. Now Woody Allen isnot funny.
I didn't really like Hannah and Her Sisters. I saw it within the past year and I don't remember anything about it. With the exception of Husbands & Wives, I don't care much for the "Mia Farrow era" of his work. It's my least favorite period of his. But I love most of his other films.
No Woody is not funny. Larry David reminds me of him & his show SUCKS!!! Come on people, someone has to agree with me.And I can't stand Titanic once was more than enought.
I didn't love Curb Your Enthusiasm, but I didn't hate it either. I might give the second season a chance someday. The new Allen film with David is great. The character reminded me of me.
Not a Woody fan, don't think he's funny, but comedy is relative. Titanic was a stupid movie. I love James Cameron but his ego is too big for his talent. But he's finally making a new movie rather than doing the underwater/titanic crap. Avatar better not suck.
Too Sickening:Wolf Creek
The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (after becoming a mother I almost threw up on the part where the nanny breastfeeds the baby)
Too Stupid:
Freddy Got Fingered (I seriously felt stupider just for having watched that)
Mutant
I am sure this list could go on forever, but here are a few.Too painful:
Titanic (watching a "romantic" re-creation of how so many people really died just seems disrespectful. I could not watch the scenes where passengers were struggling to survive in the ocean, knowing that these represent real people and it really happened to them)
The Bad Lieutenant (I never thought a fictionalized account of a man's personal descent into his own hell would be so painful to watch- I am glad I saw it once, but I do not want to see it again)
The Good Son (I do not like to be tense for two hours- I go to movies to be entertained, not stressed!)
Too stupid:
Dumb & Dumber (I just can't take it....)
I'm not a fan of Simon's, all his characters seem to be the same. He's in Star Trek and i liked him very much as Scotty, he was perfect for the part. The movie was great fun!
I love Shaun of the Dead. It is one I watch over and over again. Hot Fuzz was good, but not as good SOTD. Simon Pegg was great as Scotty in Star Trek. I agree with Lori. I don't find Woody Allen funny.
Here is my short list of movies I never want to see again:
Wolf Creek
Hostel 1 & 2
Cabin Fever
Burn After Reading (I just didn't enjoy this Cohen Bros. movie)
All of the SAW movies
Missed that one, Jo.Has anyone seen Role Models? I've had it from Netflix forever and haven't had the desire to sit and watch it yet. Is it worth it?
Something about SB Cohen pisses me off. I can't stand that kind of comedy where all of it is at the expense of others. If you're not funny or creative enough to do comedy without needing unsuspecting humans as a prop, then get out of the business. I can't wait until his 15 mins. is over.

I agree. I'm into gore, but I winced a few times with that one.
Cannibal Holocaust - Amazing film, but I never, ever, need to see it again. Glad I saw it, but nope, thank you much, I'll pass on a second viewing. My Life - I never need to cry that much over a movie again.
Coyote Ugly - My beloved Godzilla films are more believable than that dreck. The problem is that this is also one of my wifes favorite movies! So I end up seeing bits and pieces quite often, to which I usually laugh and shake my head, no matter what the scene.
Carl, I've been tempted to take a peek at Cannibal Holocaust. Some reviewers said they dreaded it, but opon viewing it it looked pretty fake and was a little comical. I just can't imagine how.I get a kick out of the reality TV show Coyote Ugly where they search for Coyote Uglies with a competition, but I can't imagine watching the movie.
No, there is NOTHING fake looking in Holocaust, especially the very real animal killings. Remember, Deodato, the director, had to bring the actors into court to prove it was just a film. On a side note: a friend of mine has become very close with Deodato and Deodato does regret the animal killings in his film and does apologize to those who are offended by it.
