August 2015 Challenge - This or That
THE CHALLENGE:The challenge is to read a book that contains the words you chose in the "this or that" selection. The goal is to use all five. It's acceptable to use as many of them as you can, but the score will reflect the number used. No, you may not go back and change it now. You were warned.
How do I use the words I selected?
- It may be in the title or subtitle (must be full word eg Sun, not Sunflower)
- It may be author's first or last name (must be full word eg King, not Kingston)
- It may be a character's name, or it and the character may share the first letter (eg Sun may be paired with Samuel.)
- It may be an item in the book.
- It may be a location, or it and the location may share the first letter (eg Apple may be paired with Atlanta
- It could be on the cover of the issue you read (either colour or item)
Just as an example, I used 5 this or that pairings that are not included in the choices for the challenge:
Black/White - Black
Day/Night - Night
Rain/Snow - Rain
Happy/Sad - Happy
Sweet/Tart - Sweet
Black could be Title (Black Beauty)
Black could be Name of Author (Written by Holly Black)
Black could be Name of Character (Joe Black)
Black could be an item in the book (Black box)
Black could be a location (Boston)
Black could be main colour of cover
Black could be item on cover (Black dog)
Using all five words from the example, I was able to find this book:
Red Rain (Night #4) by R.S. Black
Black - Author name
Night - Title word
Rain - Title word
Happy - First letters in location Heaven and Hell
Sweet - First letter of character name Scarlet Woman

Eg. IF Black or White was a pairing (it's not) and you chose black, you'd write:
