Please list your favorite fiction/non fiction books written in English, but based in Kerala. For example God of Small Things.

Anees Salim's 'Blind Lady's Descendents'. He is a Malayali author from Kochi. The book is set in his hometown. A good read.
I guess you can find a lot in the non-fiction category. Decline of Nair Dominance is a wonderful book written by Robin Jeffrey!

Amma and I is the story of Kripa and Maya, set in the 1970’s, in Kerala and New Delhi. Kripa and Maya belong to a small town, Kuttiadi. But certain circumstances force them to leave their familiar life behind and venture into the unknown.
