Alice threw herself on her bed and closed her eyes. It was a long day. She had barely arrived a few hours ago. What made her exhausted was the journey to arrive at Catanova. Her dad had insisted that they do some hunting on the way there. Alice was at least content that she made a friend. Caroline was really nice to her. She started wondering when her new roommate would arrive. Perhaps they could be good friends, as well. She picked up her favorite book and started to read.
Vic was... apprehensive of her new home, to say the least. She was excited, yes, but also pissed that she was in this situation in the first place. She yanked on one of her plaits as she dragged her bag behind her, a slew of curses muttered non-stop under her breath. She shoved the door open with one shoulder, hesitating as she saw her roommate already in the room, before grumbling a little quieter and throwing her stuff on the bed.
"Right. Best get pleasantries out of the way." She said brusquely, half to herself and half to the other girl. "I'm Vic." She said, sticking a hand out for her to shake.

Alice shook her hand. "Alice..." She wondered if she were in a bad mood. She sort of came in really angry. At least she introduced herself.
Vic nodded with a firm shake of her hand before retreating to her bed to begin unpacking her stuff. She kept taking glances at Alice. "So..." she began, unsure of how to start a conversation with a student at a school for monster hunting. "Where are you from?" She asked hesitantly, hoping that it was innocuous enough of a question to cause no harm. No need to swap exhausting backstories.
"I'm from France." At least Vic asked her something. "What about you, Vic?" Alice was starting to like her roommate. We should try our best at getting along.
Vic's face split into a wolfish grin. "Liverpool." She said, slightly over exaggerating the accent with a flourish of her hand. "Almost a Scouser, though I don't like to call myself one, yeah?" She said, taking out some of her clothes and folding them. "And how long have you been here for?"
((ugh. i've just been informed that the fam is going out tonight, so idk when i'm going to have wifi again.
(눈_눈) just when we get started... ))

She's got an exciting personality. "I've only been here a day. It was pretty nice, actually." Alice smiled at her.
((Ugh, I'm back. It was soooo hot. D:))
Vic's grin spread and she looked around at the room. "This place is real posh, innit?" She flopped on the bed, arms spread behind her. "I could get used to this." Too bad it's a school. At least I probably won't have to take any maths courses...

((I know! I'm probs going to have Ari there too. And now that I think of it... this is probs going to get confusing because you're Ari too.))
Vic's grin disappeared, a shadow crossing her eyes. "Werewolves. I'll probably stick around to learn to hunt other stuff but... mainly werewolves." She rolled over onto her stomach, peering at her new roommate. "What about you?"

((That's fine. The Ari thing, I mean.))
"Light Fae and Vampires. It's sort of something I was raised into." Alice put her book back in its shelf.

Vic nodded. "I almost wish I had known before hand. But better late than never, yeah?"
She had to think for a moment, fingers idly fiddling with the end of one of her pigtails. "Hmm... The Change: An Analysis, Supernatural War Studies, Silver Weaponry, and History of Weaponry. Pretty much all of the wolfy ones. What about you? I heard hunting fae is super advanced stuff."
"Yeah, I've got to level up first. I haven't been to any classes, yet. So I haven't had the chance." She looked at her bookshelf. "The rest of my classes have to do with vampires." Then Alice realised something. "Hey, we both have Supernatural War Studies!"
Vic's smile returned. "Great! So I won't be completely flailing socially in all of my classes." She said wryly, sitting up and stretching till her spine popped. "I don't know what to expect at this place, honestly."
"Don't worry, you'll do just fine! You can sit by me in Supernatural War Studies if you'd like." Alice wanted to make sure that all of Vic's nervousness would go away.
Vic let out a sigh of relief. "Oh thank you so much." She looked down at her hands in her lap. "I know next to nothing about hunting monsters. I mean, I've hunted animals with my... with my father, but that's different." She looked a little lost for a moment. "I'm here out of necessity, not because I chose to be."
"Oh, I see. Don't worry, there are other students like that, too." She thought for a moment. "If you'd like, I could teach you about monsters sometime."
Vic looked at Alice, nodding gratefully. "Thanks. You are the best roommate a girl could have asked for." She gushed, smile nearly blinding.
Vic shrugged. "I expected to come in here and flounder until they kicked me out. I didn't expect anyone to be nice to me." She was a bit of a pessimist, if not a fatalist, so it was only natural that her thought process had been setting lower standards.
"You've gotta start thinking positively. Because now you have a friend at this school." Alice grinned. "You definitely can't flunk with me around!"
She stood and stretched, beginning to unpack. "I'll try, I'll try." She snorted. "And hopefully I'll try not to flunk as well. I really don't want to go back north."
